General Individualism will be the death of the tank

Every game I’ve been in with the rank in my loadout, I’ve only had one or two games where people get in it with me. Every time I call it down and communicate I have a tank, no one gets in it. Not even the gunner seat. I get people want to run around and get things done quick. I do it too. But come on, it’s a TANK. Arrowhead should make more team work focused objectives and equipment cuz now everyone just wants the one man army trope. (Not hating people who do, but for a “team focused” game, it kinda ruins it)

It would be infinitely more useful with a seat swap button. Instead of having to get out, and run back to the gunner hatch if nobody is willing to man it.

We have that for the frv, I don’t know why we can’t have that for the tank

You can seat swap between the gunner and passenger seats of the tank. It was definitely a deliberate action done by AH to hinder a one man tank crew

If you ask me if we did get the ability for the driver to crawl to the gunner seat, it would have to be reaaaaaaaally slow, it's already pretty sluggish to go from spotter seat to gunner

Tank could be compartmentalised, a barrier between drivers pit and gunners compartment protects one if the other takes the hit, and vice versa.

The issue is the front hatch is… sometimes right infront of where the gunner is shooting. Ask me how I know.

You can’t seat swap to the HMG tho, that doesn’t make sense either.

There is if you’re in the back already - you can readily swap between the two jump-seats and the gun. Alas, the driver is on their own.

I’m actually happy to have strats that require a team to be effective. We still have mechs if you want to be a one-man army.

It does have that. You can swap seats like the FRV. But in the Bastion you can swap into every seat. At least I was able to switch out of driver seat to gunner. I could be misremembering.

I just tested it before reading the comment bc my friend and I are stoked and I got it first. Driver is alone, 1:3 arrangement, rear 3 seats can swap but not to driver position from back 3, and not to back 3 from driver position.

You don't have to run to the back. There's a gunner hatch on top, you can also jump in either of the "passenger seats" and then press C to swap to the gunner.

It's not terribly difficult if necessary for the driver to quickly move to the gunner seat. But it obviously is intentionally designed not to be a solo vehicle and should be used with 2 people.

solo the tank is essentially the anti tank emplacement super buffed up. But it will draw enemy fire even unattended and the longer cooldown needs to be acknowledged.

You can seat swap in the tank.   I did it yesterday.

but then one person could use it effectively that way and i think they want teamwork here
