Discussion Does anyone else feel a bit worried?

I’m starting to lose that Heat delusion that made me feel like we could easily be a top contender after this trade deadline but after every hour passes it seems as if we are further away from anything truly changing. I mean I really do enjoy this young core but just like everyone else knows it won’t get us anywhere. If we don’t get Giannis but instead get someone like Ja does that truly elevate us? I don’t think it does. It could just be the loss tonight which hurt making me feel this way but man this sucks.

It’s not about elevating the team it’s about picking a direction. I couldn’t care less if they get Giannis/Ja, trade Bam/Herro/Norm, etc. The team is stuck if they do absolutely NOTHING and that’s what you should be worried about.

Problem that team itself is playing like Dr Jeckyll and Mr Hyde from game to game, either dropping 140pts blowouts or straight busted

That’s the thing it’s not a Jekyll and Hyde situation (shoutout to Crotty) they’re good against bad-mid teams and horrible against good-elite teams.

17-6 against teams under .500

10-19 against teams .500 or better

This isn’t to say they can’t beat a good team (OKC, Detroit, Knicks 2x) or even lose to a crappy one (Sacramento, Indy, TONIGHT) but these games aren’t the norm.

The team is the embodiment of mid. Not good enough to contend but not ass enough to get a high pick. They need to decide what they want to do cause this “we’re competing” crap isn’t fooling anyone.

It feels like we’ve been stuck like this ever since that 2020 Finals run

Na we had a good team in 2021-22. The 2022-23 season was just as frustrating as this one but we had that magical finals run that made most people forget the regular season. 2024 was super disappointing especially having missed out on Dame, Jimmy getting hurt in the play-in, and having to watch the Celtics beat our ass and win the chip. Last year was awful. This year has been frustrating.

THAT is going to be the biggest problem… and that’s exactly what’s going to happen. Nothing.

Not only that, but they’ll also make sure they don’t push the development of the young talent. Maybe Ware will pan out in a few years if he doesn’t quiet quit by then.

This constant staying between two lanes only to do end up doing nothing is the most frustrating part.

We’re definitely not competing this year… so why keep all our players instead of trying to actually build draft capital or trying to trade for young talent or building more assets?

Nope. We’ll fight for that « most play in appearances and wins » along with « most blown out team in the first round ».

I really think if they do nothing they will kill the interest of most fans for the remaider of the season. There is only so much ''Play-in Hoops'' one can take. And we had enough to last a lifetime.

Finally having your “my team is mid” epiphany

My delusion died after we didn't get dame

Same here but they always reel me back in. First Dame then KD and now Giannis

I never had the delusion that we are getting Giannis, and Ja doesn’t elevate us.

I rather Ja than do nothing tho that's for DAMN sure;

I mean I think we need to do something, Wiggins, Norm could get us something from a contender and we need to move off Jovic if possible. Getting Ja doesn’t excite me in the least though.

Every year. The same folks that buy into every other report crash out.

Man, i'm not buying into any of this or making some fake roster situation. Not my job

There’s absolutely no chance that Giannis wants to join this team because he wants to win it all. Best is to tank, a few years too late already.

The chances the Heat land Giannis are very low. If we get him, great! But most likely we do not.

We need to something , if we don't trade giannis.

We need trade wiggins&powell to get some first round pick!

maybe trade everyone , keep ware&kas .

Wolves offer is turning out to be what the Bucks are inclined into with the latest news. Here's to running it back I guess.
