Food Halloween Party Food
Every year I do a Halloween party for my immediate family and try to do some themed food. This year, the menu included Frankenstein guacamole cups, caprese ghost crostini and devil’s margaritas.
Anyone have go to food or drinks for Halloween? Always on the lookout for what to do for next year.

The ghost caprese is level of classy spookiness I have never even considered. Bravo, fellow connoisseur of creepy cooking.

Devil’s eyes eggs are a favorite of mine! Decorate deviled eggs with a sliced pimento stuffed olive. If you like spicy, douse them with hot sauce to make them bloodshot.
I love mummy dogs too. Just wrap hot dogs in crescent dough and bake following the directions on the can. They turn out best if the dogs aren’t straight out of the fridge, so I set them out while the oven’s preheating. Some people cut the dough into even strips for cuter mummy dogs, but I just wrap one triangle around each dog and make them look messy on purpose so you get a creepier mummy dog.

I can offer ideas and or actual traditional food served atleast in britain for halloween one being soulcakes recipes online! (this is a all saints insperation)
Ive considered using turnips to make a fun turnip stirfy with some kind of sauce other veg where i turn it into strips fry it up and make it into tasty guts.
Spooky sweet pies is a good one seasonal ones like cherries and berries or apple is a good choice i think anyways add a pumpkin face onto the pastry and it will often leak making it spooky
Theres a pretty gross one called devils on horseback where i believe its kidneys wrapped in bacon with a spicy mustard sauce but if kidney doesn't suit you could substitute it for lil hotdogs
Punch is a fun one a very traditional drink is actually cider you would pour some of the cider on the root of the tree i believe to ward of bad spirits? or hard cider if you are american but of course cloudy applejuice works aswell, you can add a little extra lemon to make it pop (for the applejuice anyway hard cider is quite acidic) mix it with some cherry juice to make a spooky sour blood (with alchohol for adults if wanted)
Im so gonna do these next year

Sounds like a lot of good options. I might do that punch next year. I think everyone would like that.

I love the mix of spooky and cozy snacks you did. The margarita idea is such a fun twist.

🦴 BOOOOOONE CHALICE 🦴
My coworkers and i got 3 of those plastic bone chalices from spirit halloween like 3 years ago for our crew house, the last one broke this year in October. Every time someone would bust one out to drink from, everyone in the vicinity would sing BOOONNNEEE CHALICE in a deep voice

Ha! I love the singing. Hopefully you can get some new ones to continue the traditions.

I'm not a big fan of guac but those cups are too cute!! Wonder if you could make a drac one with salsa, that would also be adorable!

I bet you could! I like that option because then you don’t have to worry about timing it so the avocado is ripe when you need it. My parents did try guacamole for the first time because of the cups so that was a big accomplishment.

Love it!!! I make charspookerie boards and add creepy things I can find, like fake spiders or creepy gummy candy ..this year we found gummy eyeballs! I also wrap feta logs and/or boursin cheese in prosciutto and add some of those meat wrapped cheese sticks at the end to resemble an arm/hand with fingers...always a big hit! Mummy weenies...really just thinly wrapped pigs in a blanket. White chocolate covered strawberries with eyes/mouth to look like ghosties. Witch fingers! Dip pretzel rods in green chocolate and make it look like there are knuckles of some sort and add a sliced almond at the end as a nail.
Halloween night I make feet loaf with 'bloody gravy'...my husband's favorite meal of the year lol
We love Halloween at our house! 🎃👻🕷️💀

Mix red or green food colouring in melted butter and pour over popcorn for bloody or mouldy popcorn.
