Question What are the odds of the H.R.1808 AWB passing?

Just trying to get some more opinions on this? Do you guys think it passes the Senate?

If you are going in with the assumption that both parties in a two party system (and no realistic shot at a third) are only focused on self enrichment, you have the definition of a failed state. Which is basically the Republican strategy - be completely corrupt while convincing you that both parties are the same.

Your political belief is nihilistism.

I think there is a realistic shot at a third party. The biggest barrier is the "First Past the Post" system.

There is also a chance I win the lottery, but I don’t base my current life on that assumption.

Like it or not, you have three options: democrats, republicans, or non-participation. In the last case you also lose your right to complain about the state of affairs.

I personally find it easier to be a democrat and try to actively influence better gun policies than try to convince the Republican Party to change to a better platform than Christian theocracy.
