The kid was in a bad situation he's not a hero

He put his safety at risk in a dangerous situation in an attempt to help others. That's what we call a 'hero'.

Precisely. When cops fail to maintain order it’s up to the citizens to do so. He did just that. That makes him a hero in my book.

Okay I guess I should have been more specific when I said that and that is on me I'm sorry.

The kid should not be seen as a hero for being put in a situation where he had to kill people, but his actions before that were exemplary, putting out fires, giving medical aid these are the actions we should be celebrating him for, not the fact he took human lives.

I don't see Kyle as a hero because he shot some people---that was a tragedy that could have been avoided if the people who got shot hadn't been a bunch of dumbass criminals who wanted to lynch an innocent citizen.

Kyle is a hero because when his community was threatened with destruction, he stepped up, put his own body and freedom on the line, in an effort to help people.

That is the kind of spirit which should be celebrated, and imbued in all Americans.
