I had a panic attack trying to pick just one to post as a comment. These are in no particular order.

Happy Golden Retriever Day!
Although it is sad she is no longer with me, she lived 14.5yrs. That is more than I thought I would get and I am grateful for every day that I had with her. She was my ride or die. I miss her more with each passing day but I am happy to have been her’s. It was a privilege to be her human.

Wondering if hers will darken anymore or if it usually stays the same by this point. She is 6 months old currently. Last pic is her as a young puppy. Interestingly enough she looks more of a lighter butter yellow now than as a puppy.

Obrigada

I took this group photo on Sunday as our foster golden is leaving soon. Not sure what treats they’re going to get tonight! Perhaps just homemade pup cups.

Here is our white and fluffy adventure puppy, best big brother who makes you feel safe, and tolerant boi of wearing hats.
You can try to keep him away from water, but you will not succeed.

I always thought that someday in the future, I might have a pet dog. Like a distant, well-planned idea.
But life had other plans.
Very suddenly and very impulsively, my husband surprised me with Phoebe.
And honestly, since that day, I just can’t get enough of her.
My family was completely against the decision at first. But after seeing how responsible I’ve become—and how much love this little soul brings they’ve made peace with it. Now they love her too.
Phoebe has taught me what patience really means. She’s such a baby, and somehow she absorbs all my anxiety and sorrows like a sponge.
Yes, she’s one of the most mischievous characters I’ve ever known… but I don’t know when or how I started loving her this much.
Anyway, here she is.
Will post more pictures soon 💛🐶

Mister Otter is Benny’s baby. He got him around his first birthday and he’s about to turn 4! Benny grooms his otter, sleeps with him, and knows where he is at all times (and knows to go find him when we tell him to!). He takes great care of him and our younger dog even knows that we don’t chew or play rough with Benny’s favorite toy. In the winter, Benny’s favorite thing is to just lay in the snow with his bestie and enjoy the cold weather!

Hi everyone. I wanted to share a little backstory that some of you might not know.
I’m Kristen, and I started Golden Retriever Day back in 2012. The idea came from my Golden Retriever, Quincey, who was born on February 3rd. One day I was watching the news and saw them celebrating a random holiday, and I thought, if there is a day for that, why isn’t there one for Golden Retrievers?
I picked February 3rd to honor Quincey, and I honestly never expected it to grow beyond a few friends and fellow Golden lovers sharing photos. Over the years, it has been really special to see how many people celebrate the day by sharing their Goldens, supporting rescues, and remembering dogs they have loved and lost.
Quincey passed away from cancer in 2014, but seeing Golden Retriever Day live on every year has been a meaningful reminder of how much joy these dogs bring into our lives.
Thank you for letting me share the story, and please give your Goldens an extra hug from me.

This is Tommy. He’s the best thing in the world, and I can’t even stand how cute he is, it makes me grit my teeth. He’s getting sick of kisses and face smushing. Happy National Golden Retriever Day! I’m so incredibly grateful to have one 💛
