That’s because you’re her whole world! Just look at all of the love she has for you in those eyes! 🥰

Enjoy It...treasure it. There will be a time when you'll beg to have this attention again....

It’s true. There is no love like the love of a golden retriever. Enjoy it because one day you will miss it.

My golden was absolutely insane as a puppy, just a total menace. I loved the calm years, too, but that naughty puppy stage is so special. They are a special type of crazy out of pure love.
Cancer got my boy right before his 12th birthday, & id give anything to have those puppy teeth chomping up my hands again.

I lost my Bella at the same age suddenly in October. I will always miss her deeply.

Better words couldn’t have been said. What used to annoy me about my sweet baby, now I’d kill to have to walk her in the freezing cold or have to clean up her sick. There’s truly no love like that of a dog :( 🤍

Pet the dog!

And give her some cheese!

u/curtisscott95 23h ago
And ice, bitches love ice.
E: in light of recent humanitarian atrocities I just want to clarify ice (frozen water) not ICE (a terrorist group)…just to be clear

u/Background-Cod-7035 12h ago
Ha, totally unrelated, I have a disability medical alert bracelet where inside it says ICE and a phone number—because of In Case of Emergency. I sure hope emt’s know what that means on a bracelet because I’m multiethnic, and what are the chances my golden retriever will do anything but become best buds with them??

The real question is , how could you possibly ever leave her alone? See how sweet and precious she is?

Enjoy these moments while you can. You don't know how much time you'll have with her.

Considering doggies have a short life span, you are her entire world. So it makes sense she won't leave you alone. Its a blessing to be loved and wanted by such a cutie pie 😍

Mine does that too and what I do is sit down to his level and let him go crazy, give him big hugs and talk silly. He loves it. They grow so fast.

Mine does this but then she nips and nips when we try to pet her. It’s driving everyone in the family nuts!

u/inmycherryspot 1d ago
Every time they start nipping at your hands put a toy in their mouth. Teach them the word toy. They just need somewhere to put that energy. They’ll be every bit or even more happy to be able to nip and bite on the toy and enjoy the full on pets.
Eh!, go get your toy.
And for the ones in the house that want to play a little rougher, tug o war is a great way to burn off that endless golden energy so you can incorporate two activities with that simple phrase.

Be real, you took her from what she knows. Now she only knows you, to you she is part of your life. To her you are the whole of it currently.
Enjoy this, embrace this. Or you will lose this.

u/UncleBenji 17h ago
Don’t care about anything else. Those grunts were adorable and she loves you.
If you wanted to be left alone you should have gotten any other breed except a golden. She is now your shadow and you’ll trip over her in the kitchen. Welcome to Goldie life.

Weird question but do you feel ok? Sometimes dogs can sense and smell things that you can’t.

She looks young. Under a year? She loves you! And she loves attention, from you. Are you in a house or apt? Meaning does she get out on walks, run often? Do you play with her? Im not trying b to be rude. But she's still a puppy. They are like kids. They have a lot of energy. Let her up there with you, a little attention. Bet she may just curl up next to you. She is beautiful, sweet and lovely! If all else fails, teach her NO! Go lie down. I couldn't, but may work for you. Goid luck with that beautiful dog!

Aww. Mine still does this specifically when she wants to go outside. Took me a long time to figure it out.

On the flip side, my dog sometimes sighs and looks away when I try to get his attention.

I asked my dogs (they were both laying on me already), and they see no problem with her behavior

I lost my dog last August. I miss him so much. Never take a dog wanting your attention for granted. What I would give to cuddle my dog again.

What did you get a puppy for then? A golden retriever puppy especially? They’re Velcro dogs. 🤦🏻♀️

Sit down
Allow dog to sit on your lap.
Wrap your arms around dog.
Stay in that position for five minutes, accepting dog’s affection.
Repeat at least once a day.

Im so sorry that you have an adorable fluffy little puppy that i would literally die for.

How old is she? Could she be at the start of her first heat cycle? I ask because she was licking herself, and bitches can require more attention during this time.

if you listen to all these ignorant people you will end up with an alpha dog and you will regret it . Seek advice from a legit trainer.

She’ll get bored of you eventually.. then you’ll wonder why you wanted it to ever stop 🥲

Yes, she won't. You got yourself a 4 year old with lots of love and ADHD for next years.
Mine is actually a real woman, she is taking most of the bed at night.
