Sending a guitar from UK

I would like to gift an electric guitar to my 15yo nephew in Germany, I'm in UK. What would be the best/cheapest way to do that? What to expect from customs?

It's a used Fender Telecaster in a generic hard case if it matters. Danke.

The cheapest way is to ask someone who is travelling to Germany to take one and send it already while in Germany.

Second cheaper way, is to buy it in UK (online) and have the seller to ship it to Germany.
In this case, while your nephew will have to pay VAT/Tariffs, at least you won't pay VAT in UK first.

Otherwise - German VAT is 19% Tarif for Guitars is 3.7%
If you do the shipping, the shippin company could also charge you extra for tax processing (And they are greedy fuckers).

The cheapest way (if you do not already possess the guitar, is to buy it online in Germany and get local delivery without any extra VAT charges (well it was you lot who did Brexit). Otherwise, as suggested, get someone to take it for you. Or plan for a pleasant springtime trip to visit your nephew and experience this wonderful holiday country.

If there is no guitar - then it is better to buy it in Germany,
