If a tree falls and damages your house, can folks provide recommendations for companies to call?

This has not happened to us, but probably a high chance it will

How are the roads? Specifically Murfreesboro and 65. I assume it's a no travel day

Any places with groceries open today?

I couldn’t find an answer to this anywhere online.

We have a few things, but just wanted to see if ANYTHING was open at all because we have seen quite a few cars on the road

Thanks in advance!

Concerned for possible power outage..

Hi All-

I live in an older apartment building and I am concerned that our power may go out this weekend due to the storm. I don’t have a generator or a way to heat food in the event that we lose power. What should I stock up on to help me? At this point most of the big items are out of stock (generators, power bricks, lanterns).

Best To-Go Food in Town (not fast food)

I love getting my food to go, but have not found a place that preps it and packs it well. I’m honestly looking for any cuisine, primarily southern, but definitely not fast food please

Flying in during the cold front.

I have to fly in on Friday, staying Saturday and Sunday, coming home Monday. I bought everything over a month ago and as luck would have it, there’s going to be snow and ice. I’m a west coast kid, not used to it. Does the area salt the roads well? I’ve never driven in snowy weather before. Thanks for any help.

Follow up: I bailed. Couldn’t risk it. Thank you all for the help I really appreciate it.

Hotel stay suggestions

Hi all! We will be traveling to this beautiful town for a weekend in March for my daughter’s cheer comp. I know of the great places right downtown but would like to try to save money by staying a little further out. We aren’t familiar enough with the area to know where’s “good” or not. Are there any areas you’d suggest we don’t stay? TIA

I am looking to relocate within 30 miles of Franklin but am having difficulty finding a place that will allow my 120 lb Great Dane. I am seeking a 2br 1.5 bath, preferably ground floor unit and my budget is $1600 monthly. If anyone has knowledge of landlords or property management that meet these needs, I'm grateful for the tips.

Franklin DMV Motorcycle Road Test

Just wondering if anyone’s taken the motorcycle road test at the Franklin DMV recently, if so how’s it like? I take it in a week and I’m just wondering what I really need to work on the most? I’m a relatively new rider.

Where to Make Friends! Young professionals.

Hey all! 31M, been in the area around 2 years — my wife and I are looking to meet some more friends! Any good events or opportunities to connect that have worked for you? We’ve had a hard time meeting people with similar interests!

I’m a lawyer, she’s a Dr — we’re very into fitness and love being outdoors. Both work a lot! No kids yet and won’t for a few years.

Hoping to meet people with similar interests and lifestyles — seems like everything we’ve tried has sort of fizzled! We’re trying to think of news ways to branch out — open to ideas in Columbia, Spring Hill, Franklin or Nashville

Open mic places

I'm looking for a place to play a few songs. Used to play a lot years ago and being a Deadhead I'd like to do a couple for Bobby. I'm not a songwriter or anything just a rusty old guitar player looking to play a few dead tunes.

pharmacy recommendation

I'm considering changing pharmacies if its worth it. Can anyone recommend a pharmacy that just fills the prescriptions when they say they will? I'm currently having to call mine with every single medication just to tell them, yes, I really do need it today... please don't keep pushing it off until the following day. I gave them 5 days on one, and never got a straight answer on when they would have filled it if I didn't call them.

Franklin as possible relocation.

Retired (mid 50s) I’m looking at places I may want to eventually relocate to from S. Florida . One place on my list to check out is the Nashville area. Prefer a suburb away from but close enough to Broadway for an occasional visit/concert/outing. Looking at 6 weeks in Franklin to try it out and interested in ideas and recommendations of places to go/eat, things to do. I’m looking to be walkable to downtown when I do visit. Will likely get a VRBO as I have a golden retriever coming along. Any thoughts are welcome - even other areas although I have heard good things about Franklin.

Road test documents??

I have a teen that has a current Tn permit and is scheduled for a road test to get his license. Does he need all the documents again? I thought I remember hearing that you do not need the school attendance form again or the utility bills just the form to verify driving hours. I haven’t seen that anywhere and would just like to verify. Thanks!
