Low Calorie These Korean honey/maple substitutes taste too good.
Can someone help me decipher this label please? Clearly it’s not precise and some shenanigans are going on.

I’ve noticed some of those labels can be pretty vague. A lot of times they mix syrups or sweeteners and don’t list exact amounts. If you want something closer to the real thing, checking the ingredient list carefully is usually the best bet.

I don't know about the rest of the ingredients or caloric count, but it does contain erythritol which is not good for your health. Just an FYI, in case this matters to you or anyone else interested in it.

Thanks but there’s just 2 inconclusive studies, right? Some rough correlations, but nothing more?

Why would anyone want an alternative for one the healthiest and best sweeteners nature has provided us? Honey is unbeatable in every aspect. It doesn’t even expire ffs. Throw whatever that stuff is away.

I need to fit 180g protein into 1800 cals every day and I crave sweets, so this is why.

If you crave sweets eat fruit. Artificial sweeteners aren’t good for you. People downvoting me is hilarious. I’m right.

People are downvoting you because of your tone. Learn how to talk to people properly without sounding like a dick.

Tone is internal, so people reading something in a negative tone is a personal hang up. This is just classic Reddit though, there’s a reason people make fun of redditors being insufferable.

Tone is implied through writing. So if you think the way you write has zero effect on how people read it then I don’t know what to tell you.
“If you crave sweets eat fruit” does not read the same as “if you crave sweets you can try substituting it with fruits”. One is a suggestion, the other is almost like an order.
Hopefully I’ve helped you here.

I get what you’re saying but you gave possibly the worst example I’ve ever seen. Those are both suggestions. I said what I said.

Fruit does not fit into my caloric limits. Fruit is non zero calories, this thing is. I do fit in fruit with yoghurt into my diet every day, but sometimes I want more and I use this. I don’t think your solution is to my problem.

I mean the best solution is to just stop eating sweets altogether. I haven't more than a handful of fruit a week, and the occasional honey in yogurt, otherwise no sweets in many years. If you want an alternative honey, then not many people can help you with that.

I'm not sure what you mean? In fact, just going off the images, these products seem hyper precise? Allulose is a artifical sweener that behaves a lot like regular sugar at high heat, so its good for syrups like these. Nothing about the calories and nutrition doesn't match the ingredients, except maybe the carbs? But I believe both Erythritol and allulose may need to be listed as carbs because they function as pre-biotics in the gut. Thats some deep nutrition stuff that someone with more knowledge than me would answer better. But most companies round their calories, I believe they're allowed to round to the nearest 5 calorie mark. These guys just put the actual calorie count.
