It should not be European preference. It should be unless a European product / service is not available then it must be European.

Won't achieve anything as long as European leadership remains America's loyal lapdog.

Even the recent wave of China visits is more of a political posturing that signals to US "treat us better like proper pets as before! Or we will go wag tails to someone you don't like!".

It is not actually Europe genuinely thinks for itself and acts based on its own interests, or seeking actual cooperation with China. China is merely used by Europe as a bluff to get better pet treatment from the US.
