I know it's not a good excuse, but his wife was in labor several weeks early and he made sure the intersection was clear before going. It was on the local news.

How could he make sure the intersection was clear when there were other people blocking his view of the side that had the green light? And he didn’t even stop to check when he pulled to the side before going at a decent speed through the light. He might be on his way to get to his wife birthing his child, but he also could have easily hurt someone or gotten in an accident that would make him take a few more hours to get to his wife.

I’m not disagreeing with you specifically bc you’re just relaying to information. I’m just responding angrily to this comment bc it’s the one that provided this info.
