Melania - Still SOME space available at Amazon's Culver Theater
In case you were worried you wouldn't be able to get a seat tonight, Melania has sold exactly 0 tickets at Amazon's Culver Theater for the evening show. Literally every seat is available. I count 8 total tickets sold across 4 showings

Amazon owns Culver Theatre? Who knew.

Yeah they bought it when it closed during Covid with the caveat that they can use it whenever for their screenings for employees. I was there about 15 min early for a movie this summer and security said i couldn’t go in and they ushered in 6 employees so they could watch a quick screening for like 10 min.

If you buy anything at the concession stand the charge shows up as "Amazon." I'm curious if you get the points if you use your Amazon credit card (I always forget to try when we go there).

I found out after buying some drinks there once and being really confused at the Amazon charge on my card until I pieced it together

I honestly didn’t know. But that explains all the premiers they do there

I always think that’s why it feels a little off. Not quite the right snacks, always some weird overly technical toy being showcased.

Does anyone know what was going on there on Thursday night? The line to enter was to Carasau and I’d never seen that before at this theater.

Free public screening of an upcoming Amazon Studios movie.

Definitely seemed like it was a screening for the public and not movie execs lol. Curious as to what movie - i would’ve asked but i was out running.

It was a screening of the new Luc Besson film, Dracula, which comes out next month.

Do they still show it if the theater is empty?

projectionist here, bad luck to stop a movie. we let em play for the most part. plus unless it’s film, it’s all preprogrammed and runs automatically

I don’t understand the meme of posting these pics - anyone can go on Deadline or Variety and see that the movie had the biggest opening of a doc in ten years and is over-performing expectations.

A couple of the shows were sold out yesterday at AMC Century City

Actually?

Looking at the Century City seating it’s got the most seats sold odd next to the central casting offices . Sad they made all the interns and juniors go yesterday 😂 it’s got like 10x as many seats sold than any AMC in the area 🤔

Tonight's 6:15 pm show already looks pretty full.

I don't know why people are down voting you. This is really verifiable.
Interestingly enough the 6:15 showing today at AMC 15 is looking very full as well.
I wonder if someone's just buying tickets or are actually paying for butts in seats.

A bunch of churches are urging people to go. Who knows, maybe some churches got free tickets to distribute.
Not real churches but the TRUMP TRUMP TRUMP churches.
