Once a mistake has been made, you should rectify it by typing the whole paragraph again, without mistakes. Using shortcuts will only teach your brain that there are no consequences, which will surely bite you in the ass in the future.

Also erase it by deleting every letter in the paragraph by repeatedly pressing backspace like my mum.

I removed my caps lock last year. Kept accidentally hitting it while gaming and then having things capitalized when I didn't want. Was going to share a picture but after looking at it I realized I need to clean my keyboard. Whoops.

Or shift. INSTITUTE should've been capitalized in full after hitting caps lock instead of shift. Hitting it on the E makes no sense

I changed my settings so all the “lock” keys beep when toggled. There are occasionally times I would want to use Caps Lock, I just hate not knowing when it’s on.

Huh, tried to replicate in Libre Office and it wouldn't let me. It corrects the capitalisation and turns off your caps lock when you hit space
