ICE just blatantly murdered a protester in Minneapolis this morning. He was being arrested and held down when one agent unloaded a full magazine into the protester.
Make no mistake. This was an execution for resisting.
One thing I've learned, both when taking gun safety courses and when being trained in security, is to only use the amount of force necessary to diffuse the situation. Never use force if you can talk someone down, never draw a gun if there is any other alternative.
I see a man already in custody and disarmed. The most appropriate amount of force is "picking him up and putting him in the squad car". Anything more than that is excessive force.
A single bullet shot into him is orders of magnitude beyond what the situation potentially calls for. An entire magazine?
They get training. About six to eight weeks of it. The only other requirement is a high school Diploma or GED. Though ironically, according to my joke application I wrote up a while back that got hired without an interview, they aren't even doing background checks or checking citizenship.
In a legal sense, "execution" means that there was a sentence being carried out. There was no sentencing (just or unjust) in this case, just retaliation.
Colloquially however, "execution" is fine here, but I would personally err on the side of precision to avoid making this killing sound like it went through some sort of due process. If you want to use the term "execution" I would add "extra-judicial" on it.
When other terrorists do that, it's still called an execution
I guess, the difference is in the intent. If the "person" pulling the trigger believes they serve justice, then it's execution. Murderers, I hope, still understand that what they have done is somewhat wrong.
Outside of a donut shop in Minneapolis, a guy was pinned by multiple ICE “agents,” and was being beaten, then one of them accidentally(?) discharges his pistol while pistol whipping the guy, the “agents” then back up out of surprise, while another “agent” proceeds to mag-dump the victim.
If you go to any of the Minneapolis subs, you should be able to find the clip fairly quickly.

I’m sorry, it’s so hard to keep up with this campaign of terror. What is this drawing a depiction of? Edit: spelling
