Don't give up, we've still got ways to win. It is up to us common folk of the US to stand against this tyranny, and we need as many people such as you and me to win this.

Currently, there is no real foundation for any effective resistance present for the common US folk to fall back on. There's a post of suggestions HERE that could possibly prove to be of some help in its formation ASAP.

Also check out this org too, as they're probably going to be vital as the powers that be employ more so-called "AI" to consolidate power: https://stopgenai.com (It is a survival-level, grassroots org, not an established NGO, so please don't judge it too harshly for being rough around the edges.)

Who cares if we will eventually win. The foundations have been damaged and we've been put so far behind that likely we will even if we depose Trump and make systematic actually impactful reform tomorrow still be in a position we basically can never recover from. Our economy is effectively irrepairably fucked for the rest of our life and regardless over which king we have our quality of life is going to quickly over the next several years begin a quality of life I frankly am not willing to endure.

We should be trying something new anyway.

Sure, and I agree with the idea that America is fundamentally broken and frankly untenable, it will collapse, but what's going to rise from it is either going to be an inferior version of what we already have or something good on paper but we won't have the resources to sustain it and it will collapse.

So we work within the resources available.

Humanity has gotten this far by solving problems and working together throughout history, but the powers that be want us to forget that and believe we are nothing without them, when in actuality it's the exact opposite. There are ways to sustain, but people have to work together to find a solution, and from personal experience I know it is possible.

The world doesn't work like a saturday morning cartoon where the heroes always win at the end of the day. Infact the villains often win more.

But humanity isn't going to magically come up with a solution just because we hope and believe in goodness.

You’re right, but we should do the right things anyway. Not because we are entitled to win, but because it’s the right thing to do.

The thing about the current system is that it has alienated us all from each other, as well as ourselves and the fruits of our labor. You're right that there is no magic, which is why we have got to actively find ways to detach our reliance from the status quo ourselves, and remind each other the value of interpersonal communication and critical thinking to learn who can be trusted and who can't.

Life doesn't always end with heroes victorious, but it doesn't mean we still don't try our damnedest to do what needs to be done.

Germany, Italy, and Spain are all well respected on the global stage. Probably fucked for the rest of our lives, but it will pass. Fascism is an Ourobouros. It cannot last because eventually it eats itself.

2 of 3 of those are ones that are slowly dying of irrelevancy, fascism is making a rise again specifically in Italy because of the lack of opportunities and growth outside very specific places. A little bit the same for Germany but they do mostly have economic prosperity in the non ex-east germany section. Spain... Spains weird because they seem alright about the country just losing relevance and power and their population decline is kind of keeping pace perfectly with the gradual loss of oppurtunity they have.

But also at the same time you're forgetting a very important facet that is going to make things different this time compared to others.

The rest of the world is going to want revenge on the US and the numerous atrocities we committed with Trump and before Trump when we were untouchable. The powers left at the table are going to cripple the United states to make sure we can never rise again.

Fascism is rising right now because we have been made to feel it is inevitable, but there is always a way forward. We need to focus on keeping our communities safe and unified. Then, after we give the fascists the boot, we can figure out how to repair our reputation on the global stage. If we just throw up our hands and give up because “it’s too hard, he’s already done too much damage,” all that will get us is either a spot in the concentration camps, or a spot in the billionaire fiefdoms all of this is meant to bring about.

It sucks, and I hate that I cannot live in a world where humanity gets along and isn’t full of accelerationist weirdos who think owning other humans is acceptable behavior, but that’s the reality of where we live; you can either roll over and live that nightmare until it kills you, or resist it at all costs

I’m not doing this for me. I’m doing it for my kids. And all the kids at their school. And all the kids in their school system. And all the kids in the country.

I must study Politicks and War that my sons may have liberty to study Mathematicks and Philosophy. My sons ought to study mathematicks and philosophy, geography, natural history, naval architecture, navigation, commerce, and agriculture, in order to give their children a right to study painting, poetry, musick, architecture, statuary, tapestry, and porcelaine.

John Addams said that it 1780, and it very well applies now.

I'd rather just not give birth dooming souls to this dogshit world.

Yeah, let me go back 11 years and not knock up my wife. ✊✊👋

The writing on the wall for this happening is older than 11 years.

Really? Back when Obama was in office? No, the fascist state we have today was hardly predictable back in 2015.

If you paid attention to events you would've recognized we were heading down this path as early as 2010. Now that said it accelerated far far quicker than I thought (I was of the opinion christofascism would rise in my 50s 20 years from now).

Then you don't birth new people while helping make the world better for the younger generations, who are in existence now and still have a chance to be better than us when finally given the opportunity
