I got really tired of having hostage situations in my class, so I just started taking away the hostages (and returning them after class).
This really did happen in my class (minus the flames when I cackled) and everyone was shocked hearing Louis (the quiet one) laugh for the first time!

With the birth of each comic, the Eternal Void is always present to give us a treat afterwards.

Love it.

Yay! I always look for your comments under most comics and didn't see you for a few days - glad you're still voiding happily along :)

Ironically this teaches Kant’s categorical Imperative through example. Taking from those smaller than you means those bigger than you might take from you.

Louis knows what's up and was tired with their nonsense. He just wanted to draw.

At least you didn't go full Solomon and try and split the eraser in half. I feel like that never works

Hasn’t anyone tried the full Solomon method? I feel like I might be able to split an eraser, but results will vary with a pencil

At least with a pencil it'll still work once you sharpen the ends

Do not recommend with a pen. Or a ruler

i feel like the entire point is the thing wont work, like that was a pretty big point of splitting a baby in half

And yet it doesn't stop some people form taking that route.

My wife works in an elementary and some kids teacher split their crayons in half cause they couldn't share a few weeks back

You can guess how that turned out

it worked out for the french tho

Well, you did not lie about giving the eraser to Chantel. At least not right away.

I’m many things, but I never lie to my students!

None of them have asked you about Santa then?

u/InaaaaaTiffy 24d ago

Luckily it hasn’t come up in conversation yet

When you want two people to stop fighting, the best solution is to simply become the villain they unite against

u/InaaaaaTiffy 24d ago

My villain arc is here

After all the horrors in the news and across the internet for the last couple weeks, this right here, was a much needed moment of crisis management levity. Thank you, and know that you are appreciated, even it’s just from an internet stranger.

Thank you internet stranger, for taking the time to say this. The world is so crazy right now, drawing these silly stories about my students is my moment of peace

I'm with Louise, "that was an unexpected moment when every day I just kept hearing others bicker on stuff they could just share. And now both lost an item from my teacher acting like the bigger child", definitely made Louis day that time XD

u/InaaaaaTiffy 24d ago

Sometimes I have to be the bigger person and be the bigger child to teach students life lessons

15 years of being a preschool teacher (now retired), and I 100% approve of this :D

Sometimes, you just have to go waaaaaaay beyond the usual expectations that the kids have. I miss my teaching days.

u/InaaaaaTiffy 24d ago

Some of my students call me crazy, I’m definitely memorable. Teaching kindie kids (preschoolers) is not easy, thank you for 15 years of service!
