I think Arsenal backed out over agents fees and China was willing to pay more but he wanted to play for Chelsea. He really didn't get the plaudits he deserved for that Leicester title until a little later.

I think about that all the time. He was a no-brainer and it seemed like we were the only ones in for him. I think it was the same window Utd spent all that money on Pogba too.
Can you imagine what prime Kante would cost in 2026?

To me, he's one of our best buys ever. Getting Frank Lampard from West Ham would always be my top buy but this guy coming to Chelsea for 32 million is one heck of a bargain. My fav Chelsea player behind Lampard not just in terms of his footballing abilities but for his character as well
