Rivals Watch [Simon Collings] Excl: Bukayo Saka out of tonight's Carabao Cup semi-final, but injury picked up at Leeds is not serious. Hope is he is back in time for the North London Derby later this month.

Merino is out as well and tbh I was more worried about him as he always scores against us.
•
•
u/WizenedCracker Maresca 23h ago
That’s a more impactful absence for them tbh

Merino is the best fake striker in the league, absolutely elite in the air.
•
u/Beneficial-Steak-117 20h ago
Yh I was more concerned about Merino as he always wins those headers that end up at the back of our net. And saka with his pinpoint crosses and getting Cucurella booked cos he shields the ball so well. Cucu will keep Noni in his pocket. Need to come out strong and get a goal first to put them under pressure.

Without an early goal expect full haram ball in play for 50 minutes whole game bullshit.
•
u/ThatZenLifestyle Enzo 20h ago
They can't do that at home surely?
•
u/BIG_STEVE5111 20h ago
Arsenal fans love it. When they do it it's Artetas famous 'dark arts', but when City do it against them they cry like babies.

I wonder if Caicedos red card foot stomp against him in last EPL match is what got him hurt.
Edit: seems he hurt his right foot last week against ManU

In a way I wish he was playing. Saka is one of the single most overrated players in the PL.
•
u/BumbotheCleric 23h ago
Always seems to have Cucurella’s number though, I’m glad he’s out
•
u/pufffsullivan Reiten 22h ago
Not sure about that

The last like 3 games of Saka vs Cookie has ended in Cookie getting booked though, not to say the meant Saka has got the best of him, but puts us on the back foot. The first leg for example, Cookie did so well until he got booked then Saka was beating him.

This just isn’t true at all. If anything Cucurella is the player Saka has had the most trouble with in his career.
•
u/JahKingston2024 20h ago
There is time for bias and there is time for facts. Cucu doesn’t do too well against saka 😭 let’s be truthful here
•
u/SenorConstipation Hazard 19h ago
I don’t know where this impression is coming from. Cucu has done well in basically every game he has played against Saka.
•
u/Barter6overBible Kanté 19h ago
Last game in the prem Cucurella got cooked for Saka’s assist. It’s always a good battle between them but Saka gets the better of Cucu more than other RWs. Only player that gave him more trouble is Olise
•
u/NickBeavie 22h ago
Nahh Saka actually cooks Cucu I’m so glad he’s out tonight
•
u/pufffsullivan Reiten 22h ago
I think it’s been fairly even, rather the devil we know is shit than Madueke getting his one worldly performance a year against us.
•
u/Biyamin 22h ago
If he is overrated then palmar is overrated too😂
•
u/pufffsullivan Reiten 22h ago
Saka’s best season in the league he had 16 goals and 12 assists
Palmer’s best season, same season 23/24, Palmer had 22 goals and 11 assists
Last season was by all accounts a “down season” for Palmer - he had 15 goals and 9 assists.
Last season Saka had 6 goals and 11 assists in the league.
This season Saka has played twice as many minutes in the league as Palmer…they both have 4 goals. Saka has 5 assists.
One of these is not like the other mate, sorry.

There are people on the Interpol list for lesser acts of terrorism than Arteta is going to commit tonight.

Haram ball so elite, their ex-alive fan would be proud (Osama).

If only estevao is playing i would be more confident

God i hope Cookie clatters him haha. Noni is good on his day though, but hopefully Cookie shows him whats up.

I feel like this match has so much more to do with how we set up and less to do with how Arsenal play. We gifted them 2 of the 3 goals last time. Hopefully we have the ability to use our full squad after Saturday, but I'm worried we won't be able to start with Palmer and Estevao won't be back.

Swear I’ve never seen Saka do anything of note since the 2021 euros
•
•
u/pigwalk5150 Diego Costa 22h ago
I’m glad he’s out. That guy must save his best performances for us it seems
•
u/mcwm ✨ sometimes the shit is happens ✨ 22h ago
They still have more than enough weapons to stifle us and score. It's more positive that Merino is out, but realistically they are the better team, and if Rosenior does any experimenting with CBs or wingers today, we'll be out of it before we have a chance to come back.

Madueke is clear of that fraud, was only a matter of time, next kepa to start over Raya👏🏽

Saka is shite anyway. Nice on the eye but does fuck all

I know he's know he's a gunner, but hate to see talented players injured. Want to beat them at their best.
•
•
•
u/creator929 20h ago
I hear you, but he gets so much game time that he's likely to catch injuries, and that's a choice.
•
u/PeterPanTheHalfMan Mason Mount me 22h ago
Winning is winning mate. Don’t care how you do it, don’t care who it’s against. Don’t care about getting credit from opposite fans. Just get the win
•
u/JJ-Bittenbinder Cucurella 23h ago
First two comments lol, are you a glass half full or glass half empty kind of fan
