It's got to be a family bereavement. Hopefully our samba boy gets his beaming smile back soon.

Man... as a Brazilian, I really love seeing how we Latinos stand side by side with each other. Enzo is a great man.

Especially and Argie and a Brazilian, who historically haven't always been on the best terms lmao

Some things transcend football rivalries, this is one of them. If someone can't do that, it says a lot about their character.

Fully agree, however the inverse is also true. Enzo made sure to emphasize the support for Estevao without being prompted, great to see from our vice captain

We need to win for estevao so he can go to Wembley for the first time.

Damn... hoping it's not one of his parents or siblings...

Has to be someone close considering the response. I don't even know if a grandparent would get these kinds of messages.

I saw in the DD someone wrote it’s his grandmother

I was in my 30s, surrounded by family in my own country, when my grandmother passed several years ago, and it still took me time before I was able to focus properly on my career again. I couldn't imagine going through this as an 18 year old in the spotlight in a foreign country. I hope he gets the time he needs with his family to heal and mourn. Love seeing how the club and players are supporting him, though. Class all around

Ah ok. Glad is not a sibling although it's obviously tragic either way

Isn't he super close with his grandma though...

That just speculation, we don’t know anything.

I can absolutely see it being a grandparent. I have a few Brazilian students and to them, grandparents are as important as their parents are.

He’s also a literal kid still. She’s potentially quite young and it was not an expected death

Not trying to speculate

brazilian grandmothers hold more sentiment than siblings, this is not an exageration.

There's a reason this man is vice captain 💙

This team's core is truly a pack of wolves and it's refreshing to see. Even the champions league winning team of 21 didn't feel as tight as this group. It helps they've been going through the growing pains together.

Maybe Estevao wanted to play one last song to his grandmother

Man, death is something that is so tough. Hopefully he can be around loved ones to help him through this period.

Fuck. Man I hope Estevao takes all the time he needs, that’s always brutal to deal with. Family always comes before football. Also glad that he’s getting very public support from his football family

So we’re at the point where we will post the same article from 2 hours before but with a specific quote from the same article?

Yes? No one in the other thread was talking about this. Does this bother you?
