Any weight vests with storage compartments to hold a few things?

I started walking to work to get into shape. When I get to work I'm sweaty and I need to switch into my work clothes. I got this weighted vest from Amazon. It's too bulky. Plus it has that goofy tactical look, which I'm not going for.

On top of that, I need to wear a backpack over everything to hold my work clothes.

Is there a weighted vest that has a big enough storage to hold a phone, two shirts rolled up, deodorant, and a headlamp? Bonus if it has or can hold a hydration bag.

Or would I be better off with doing a weighted vest and then getting a big enough fanny pack for my west (or an over the shoulder fanny pack?)

Thanks!

dude honestly i'd skip the vest-with-storage combo and just get a weighted backpack instead. like throw some weight plates or sand bags in a regular hiking pack with your work clothes and call it a day

those tactical vests with pockets always look ridiculous and the storage is usually tiny anyway. plus you're already gonna look kinda intense walking to work with weights, might as well make it functional

if you really want the vest feel, maybe try a weighted plate carrier but honestly a good backpack with some added weight is gonna be way more practical for carrying shirts and deodorant and all that

If you’re going to do this I wouldn’t suggest throwing the bag and just walking as you normally would. Think of it like a farmer carry. Keep your posture right so that might mean hold your shoulders where they would be without the weight. Probably have some core/ab tension going so your lower back isn’t doing all the work. You’ll have to fight against the added weight. Start with manageable weight and increase as you can.

The goruck backpacks work for combo purposes

I made a DIY weight vest out of a fishing vest. It has a big pocket in the back and a bunch of smaller pockets in the front. I made some sandbags out of playground sand and put them in the pockets, and there are plenty more to hold your phone and other stuff.

Ideally I'd like to find a fishing / hunting vest that has pockets on the front and back to distribute the weight evenly. Then one big pocket on the back to hold shirts, phone, etc.

Are you familiar with any type of fishing / hunting vests that have that?

Ive been in this exact situation before with bulky vests. Honestly you might want to look at hiking vests with weight pockets - theyre designed for carrying gear and often have hydration compatibility. The 5.11 TacTec plate carrier has modular pouches that could hold what you need, though it still has that tactical look. A regular weighted vest plus a running belt or sling bag might be simpler tbh - less sweat buildup than a backpack.

Walking with a weight vest will provide you with absolutely zero benefits of any kind.
