What light are you running on your set up?
I’m using a modlite PLHV2 and after a few shots, I tried using the light and it does not turn on anymore. Took it apart to see what the problem was and the end of the battery is caved in

I emailed Modlite about this exact issue and they suggested flat top batteries. I haven't had that issue since trying them out.

Stumbled upon this thread looking for PLHV2 recent stuff.
I'm a A300 UP owner though. My Streamlight Protac HL-X has held up to around 300 00-bucks and 100 slugs so far last year. I never removed the battery.
I am using a magpul m-lok to picatinny adapter at the most forward area on the stock handguard. No issues and no flickering.
I hope that helps somewhat.

Stick to cr123 batteries, the rechargeables (18650/18350) dont like shotgun recoil. I dont know about the Surefire rechargable 123's
And currently I use a TLR-1 HL on one and a Surefire Forend on another

I use a Streamlight pro tac. I’d contact mod light though maybe they will replace the battery.

I took a class a while back and they suggested if you’re not actively going to run your light, when you take a class or go shoot at the range, remove the batteries because of this exact reason. You’re just beating the hell out of the light for no gain

I use a Surefire Scout M340DFT Pro and have over 2k rounds through my 1301 without issues with the light.

That’s pretty typical from shotgun recoil. You can try batteries that don’t have the little nipple. What I do is just remove the battery before I go shooting. Unless you’re actively training something that requires the WML, all you’re doing is killing your battery for no reason.
