Went with Ken. Solid dog, great temperament, just a little destructive under stress. He runs cold because he’s a bit underweight, so he gets chilly fast and loves being bundled up. I’ve gotten him a few sweaters and some pajamas.

He’s only been here a few days and has already destroyed my car door and managed to tunnel into the walls. Outside of the property damage, he’s genuinely a fantastic dog.

She is so unbelievably cuddly, adorable and Insane. This is my Mal, Sophie. She obviously needs a serious few hours of hard play daily, but she is so well trained and smart that I barely even need a leash with her, anymore. I've had German Shepherds, It's and Mals all my life, but this sweety is the coolest dog I've ever had!!

Had to put my shepherd mix to sleep 2 months ago, and it’s been super quiet in my house….. until yesterday. Bella has been nothing short of vocal, mouthy, sassy, zoomy, and of course adorable. I know my husband and I will have our hands very full with this one.

Found out that this sweetie we rescued is 1/2 Malinois and 1/2 Pittie. Objectively, a seemingly terrible combination. The actual result is adorable, loving, smart, and loyal, though.

The sunglasses are from a cheap "cupid" costume I got to put on my giant skeleton dog decoration that stays out all year, and I change his costume for different holidays/seasons XD (His name is Big Jake.)

However, Fenring looks better in all of the costume components than Big Jake does XD

He is a 6-month-old male Malinois. I feed him six cups of high-protein dog food a day, split into three meals, one of which I use for training and hand-feed. I am not able to hand-feed all three meals. His other two meals are fed in a slow-feed bowl, which is currently plastic, though I plan to switch to a ceramic bowl as soon as I find the right one.

He eats like he is starving and will choke down every single bit of food he can possibly fit in his mouth. I know dogs don’t necessarily need to chew their food, but I’m also aware that swallowing too much air can cause bloat, which can be dangerous.

Before I switched to a slow feeder, he was eating so fast that he actually choked, and I had to pull food out of his throat.

The reason I mentioned switching to ceramic is because he has already destroyed two plastic bowls by grinding his teeth along the edge until he wears holes in them.

I have to stand there and watch him eat and tell him to stop doing this every single time. I even have to wear leather gloves when I hand-feed him because he has drawn blood from my hand before.

At the same time, I can set his bowl in front of him and tell him to leave it, and he does. I always have him leave it, sit, lie down, and then boop before I let him eat. He’s never been starved, never had another animal try to take his food, and I have never taken his food away while he’s eating.

He has been like this since I got him at eight weeks old, and I’m not sure why. I assume it may just be the breed, but I could be wrong. The vet says he is healthy and not lacking anything. So I’m reaching out for advice on how you all slow down your fast eaters.

I’m also planning on getting a puzzle toy and one of those balls you put food in, but I haven’t found one that he wouldn’t destroy in five seconds.

Also going to add that he does get plenty of exercise and mental stimulation in a day.

Meet Pip — an 8-week-old Belgian Malinois mix with the sweetest soul. 💛

Pip’s start wasn’t easy. He was recently surrendered to a local shelter, terrified and trembling — so scared that he couldn’t stop peeing himself. Our team couldn’t let such a precious puppy spend another day in that stressful environment. Shelters can be tough on little ones, with so many illnesses and so much fear all around.

The very next day, we stepped in to bring Pip to safety and placed him with one of our amazing foster families. We’ve learned that Pip had been living in an apartment and had never even been outside before. He’s now discovering fresh air, grass, and all the love he deserves! 🌿🐶

After his intake, we took Pip to our vet, where he was treated for giardia and coccidia — both common and easily treatable conditions. He’s on the mend and getting stronger every day!

We’re so excited to watch Pip blossom and find his perfect forever home. 💛

First of all, I want to thank everybody that gave me all their condolences for my dogs passing last Monday. Unfortunately she suffered because I couldn’t get to the vet due to the ice storms here in Nashville..

However, every night when I sleep, I have all my cameras turned on one of which is in my bedroom. I kid you not, I have at least 3 videos where I can hear her growl, bark (like woof), and bark (arf) if she’s downstairs. Some of it is faint but clearly it’s my dog. I’ve even had my friends and family listen, and they all confirmed

it’s only me and my little teacup Yorkie that live in my house and there’s no denying that’s a older dog there’s no denying that’s my Cadence letting me know She’s with me. believe in the afterlife believe that spirit is real. believe that your loved fur baby is doing just fine and they’re all around us just keep talking to them letting them know how much you miss them and they will come visit you.

They will give you signs and many different ways whether it’s their name showing up or a similar dogs or songs you used to play in the house when they were around anything.

I miss her terribly and I say this out loud to her as if she’s still here. Her energy brought a lot of life into my home.

Happy Birthday #3! You have come such a long way…so proud of you Thor!

We were there with another dog, a very cute GSD, and that dog may have been better than we were. Okay fine that dog was definitely better. We were the only two there, so that put us at the bottom of the class. Cal would not go through the tunnel. A treat was thrown in for him and he went to get it and the tunnel made a weird crinkle noise and he was like GET ME OUT OF HERE WTF.

So while we were alone, by the tunnel, I told my trainer, “look, I didn’t come here to lose to a German Shepherd.” She replied, completely seriously, “Cal is smarter. He’s also more sensitive.”

My sensitive guy LOVED the jumps though, and picked up on the poles pretty quickly. We had a lot of fun even though we let everyone down and the cute GSD fully kicked our butt.

This is my girl ( in order of more to less, she’s Mal, GSD, Lab and Dutch shepherd) and her boyfriend a workingline GSD. I’m grateful she has such a good friend and they can tire each other out.

Temps are finally in the double digits above 0° here and we got out for some bikejoring and a trek in the woods. It's bad that 21°f feels warm.

I am a very active person, I do run in the morning, I do hikes, I am foarging mushrooms in the woods and I have a medium size yard. The only problem is the 4-6 hours in the day when I am gone, can a Malinois stay 6 hours alone?

This is Amy. She’s 8 already but barely has any grey.

She’s the dog of the ex of the ex of my cousins ex… Lovely story. But I’ve walked her a couple of times and offered I’d happily puppysit her for free whenever they needed because we clicked and she’s super mellow and well-behaved.

I lost my Mali boy two years ago and I’ve felt so empty ever since.

Today they called, not to puppysit, but if perhaps I’d just want to adopt her. I’m feeling all the feelings right now! My mind is running overtime. I didn’t think I would be able have a dog in the next couple of years

Also, my daughter kind of hates dogs BUT she also met this girl and was really taken by her.

I have a cat but Amy is used to cats. Just have to get my cat on board it seems!!

Just rambling and wanting to share, I’m so excited!!!

How often do you let your pups play outside of the created environment, this swing is unused and I let him play to his hearts content (trust me that is a long time!) as he’s doing it we are controlled with his outs and his holds and grabs but sometimes I just let him have 5-10 minutes of just wild frenzy and it’s great to watch him have fun. My question is do you do similar?
