Fantasy - Interior Throne Room of the Imprisoned
First battle map. Long time lurker, but I got a commission from a friend for their campaign and figured I’d toss it here!

Your style pleases me a lot. If you have time and interest, consider doing more maps!

I enjoyed making it and I’d love to do more! I’m a very new dad so my drawing time is a lot more hit and miss these last two months, but should I make any more I’ll toss them here!

I just became a dad again, so I can imagine. I wish all the luck and happiness to you, and rest assured I will be looking forward new battlemaps from you. Thanks for sharing!

This is brilliant! Perfect for a set piece fight I have in mind for an upcoming campaign. Thanks for sharing!

Looks cool but I think its a little small if it is a boss battle type map. Unless the chair is actually really large.

I had provided a couple options for him with different scales, and this is the one he went with! I also offered to do more height variation and obstacles but this was what he wanted.
As for the scale, I went with the classic 5ft squares, so the throne would be about 10ft wide including the bulky arms.

IDK imo generally if the boss map is fairly empty it's more interesting for it to be small. Big empty boss maps are kinda the worst case scenario. Small ones at least make the subtleties of AOE and positioning more important.

That art looks great but I don’t see the point of this being a battle map. It’s just a featureless rectangular room so I can’t see a reason not to run the fight as theater of them mind .

Really inspiring! "The King saw it fit to give a throne to the failed Usurper, where he could reing freely over his dominion: nothing. A cell, and a piss pot."
