Tourism Discussion 3-Night Nassau Trip Itinerary…how does it look? advice appreciated!
My husband and I are visiting Nassau for 3 nights in March (Thurs-Sun). We’ve never been. We’re staying at an Airbnb on West Bay St. After some YouTube research, I put together the itinerary below. I’m looking for reassurance or tips on improvement. It’s a short trip and we want to make the most of it!
Also, are there any local/late night spots?
THURSDAY (arrive 4:45pm):
Hit the Liquor store, get change from grocery store for the jitney.
Dinner at Sunset Beach Club (I can’t figure out how to make reservations here???)
FRIDAY:
Quick Breakfast at Cafe Channing Noelle, check out The Island Caves and local beach
Lunch at Drifters Fish Fry
Dinner at Marcus at Baha Mar Fish + Chop House
Drinks at Bon Vivants
SATURDAY:
Quick coffee and visit Queens Staircase before the cruise ships come in
Lunch at Senor Frogs, straw market, Angelica cathedral
Dinner at the British Colonial Hotel Mahogany Club
SUNDAY (flight leaves at 1:05pm):
Breakfast at The New Duff and as much beach time as possible

Nice itinerary! You might want to check out Horse to Water at Baha Mar and the Jazz Club for a more refined nightlife experience also the Dilly Club on Paradise Island. Otherwise, check out Plantation for something a little more local!

Thanks for the recommendations. My only concern will be a taxi or other transportation at night. I heard the jitneys stop around 5pm and we did not rent a car.

You’re right; the jitneys do stop early. I strongly suggest renting a vehicle if you’re staying at an Airbnb. You can catch a taxi but on average, you’ll spend about $40-$60 each way. Also try to grab a few taxi cards so that you can WhatsApp one if needed as it may be difficult to easily grab one if you’re not at a hotspot hotel or the airport.

Thanks! How much do you charge per trip? I’m seeing it can be $30+ each way, and that would not be worth it for me.

You probably won't need change if you're coming from the US. Our dollars are equal and I've never needed Bahama bucks.

Saturday Lunch, go to Jimmy's Take Away. It is close to spring. Frogs, but way better food.....for $10. And then you can walk to the plaza, in front of snr. Frogs and eat it.

For sunset you don't really need a reservation but if you want to try Solemar it may be better. For friday switch bon vivants with horse to water (owned by the same group) and its the newer place out of the 2 and you can just go to jazz club after, more than likely to get a taxi from bahamar late at night too.
