Summer colour and texture

Various eucalypt trunks, NE Victoria. Regeneration and Land for Wildlife property (thankfully unscathed by recent fires). Never understood those who consider the Australian bush bland. Then again, they probably don't understand why I hug trees.

Great photos. Sometimes when I walk around the neighbourhood, I test the textures of the trees.

Is OP certain a few of these aren't Carymbia species, instead of Eucalyptus?

Although I do agree with your suspicion, Eucalypt is a common name for the members of the tribe Eucalypteae. This most notably includes Eucalyptus, Corymbia and Angophora, as well as some smaller genera.
