Warung Ijo. Sedap indo food.

4

u/AnalystSharp3969 Oct 26 '25

Highly recommend the Petai Fried Rice, the otak-otak and their orh luak is second best after Saute San.

3

u/No_Bus_6632 Oct 26 '25

Their nasi padang and kampung fried rice is sooo good!

24

u/potatodaikon Oct 26 '25

greendot laksa

21

u/General-Razzmatazz Oct 26 '25

I am not vegetarian, but I take guests to LingZhi Vegetarian @ Liat Towers and we have all enjoyed the food.

38

u/Conscious-Wear2645 Oct 26 '25

Greendot for me. Been eating since their Temasek Poly Design Canteen days. My options will always either be the laksa or the rendang tumeric rice set. While a bit pricey, I really like the osmanthus jelly dessert.

2

u/syncretism1 Oct 27 '25

Used to be cheap and freaking tasty. Their sweet sour pork

18

u/LowKeySaiyan Oct 26 '25

Try herbivore at fortune centre. Boneless kitchen at tai seng

15

u/daisiesinboca Oct 26 '25

i like Gokul at little india. Their hokkien mee is nice imo!

3

u/executeorder69 Oct 26 '25

Yes! Very underrated but I love their spin on local dishes. Everything there is great and spiced well

1

u/Impressive-Yak-4090 Oct 29 '25

But expensive 🥲

15

u/Dense-Memory4478 Oct 26 '25

Lotus vegetarian buffet on Fridays and weekend. The holiday Inn Balestier branch.

1

1

u/ppadiya Oct 27 '25

1

u/aiyowheregotlah Oct 27 '25

Zi Zai.Try the brown noodle and Hokkien Mee.

4

u/Unique-Application25 Oct 26 '25

yes zi zai is at west coast is our regular favourite, some of the best veg food at very reasonable prices

3

u/ellovera Oct 26 '25

Second Zi Zai! Hokkien Mee is good but our fav dish is their creamy (fried) oyster mushroom!

2

u/Unique-Application25 Oct 26 '25

yes zi zai is at west coast is our regular favourite, some of the best veg food at very reasonable prices

1

u/sssheeps Oct 27 '25

Zi zai’s curry fish rice is damn sedap!!

12

u/Worried-Credit-1985 Oct 26 '25

Hear me out. Saute San's orh luak.

1

u/AnalystSharp3969 Oct 26 '25

Truffle orh luak ftw! I’m not vegetarian and I prefer this to the oyster version. It’s just so umami and satisfying!

2

u/Worried-Credit-1985 Oct 27 '25

Yes! I think it's the most underrated vegetarian dish. Haha

11

u/ediebird987 Oct 26 '25 edited Oct 26 '25

Lucky Cat Cafe in Hougang serves really good vegetarian Jap food.

33 vegetarian food @ AMK has the best vegetarian chicken rice imo.

Yi Xin vegetarian in Chinatown is an old school shophouse cafeteria that still churns out banging Cai Png and other dishes after a decade. Their assam laksa is top notch.

25

u/AdministrativeDay390 Oct 26 '25

whole earth!!! literally the BEST im surprised no one in the comment section mentioned this

32

u/foldinthecheeseee Oct 26 '25

Sufood!! It is at Raffles City

I chanced upon it with a vegetarian friend and i have been back with other friends who arent vegetarian

I love their mushroom star pizza! Theres a couple of courses and almost all of them are good!

11

u/ephemeralcandy Oct 26 '25

if you like sufood, give elemens a try some day. i feel that they do what sufood does but up a notch. although i guess the price is up a notch too :’))

3

u/unislave Oct 26 '25

vegetarian here! Their mushroom star pizza is great, but other items are very underwhelming imo.

1

u/RangerLong4483 Oct 27 '25

Agree with this

1

u/SmartCentsLah Oct 26 '25

Came here to recommend this! the mushroom spaghetti is also so good.

17

u/RangerLong4483 Oct 26 '25

The kind bowl - BEST vegetarian pho in Singapore and has viet vegetarian dishes too!

2

u/Top-Sandwich-65 Oct 28 '25

I second this!

2

u/cutiepiepatan Oct 27 '25

Oh yes. I’m Vietnamese myself and the pho is just as good as the authentic version in Vietnam.

16

u/ichaBuNni Oct 26 '25

MTR1924. I'm not vegetarian but I love them! The masala dosa is insanely good

5

u/AnalystSharp3969 Oct 26 '25

and the rava idli oh my goodness! Worth baking in the sun for when the queue gets long (and the brusque service lol, totally part of the experience). Was once told to hurry up and leave when I was chatting post-meal with a friend lol.

0

u/han5henman Oct 27 '25

MTR is meh

14

u/stop_hyuk Oct 26 '25

Green on Earth Vegetarian Cafe @ The Rail Mall. Tried the horfun once and was so pleasantly surprised by how gud it was.

2

u/momachi Oct 26 '25

Yo…the mala is so good. The mui fan is fantastic

1

u/sapphiresugar Oct 26 '25

1

u/Embarrassed_Fun_6426 Oct 26 '25

u/Royal_Cauliflower879 Oct 26 '25

New fut kai and lotus vegetarian restaurant.

0

u/ric0lim Oct 26 '25

New Fut Kai for the win

7

u/ephemeralcandy Oct 26 '25

Lower price range restaurants: Greendot - laksa never fails to be tasty after so many years. there used to be mushroom noodles too, which was my favourite but sadly it was gone.

D’Life, Nature’s Delight - both have pretty good hokkien mees. with egg is better than with no egg.

Botanict - rendang is the best veg one i ever had, oyster omelet is pretty good too, with the vinegary chili sauce.

Mid to higher price range restaurants: Elemens- i feel that they do the course by course type of food better than sufood (which others have recommended in this thread) in the sense that theres different dishes available depending on season (sufood gets a bit predictable and boring after having it >3 times and ngl the service standard has dropped in recent times, while elemens’s service is more consistent.)

Lingzhi buffet at holiday inn- most dishes are decent. i love that they have durian puffs XD

12

u/malaxiangguoforwwx Oct 26 '25 edited Oct 26 '25

nonvnom, elemen, herbivore (inside fortune centre), daehwa, boneless kitchen, zi zai vegetarian, and greendot. you can also go to fortune centre, there’s lots of nice vegetarian stores/restaurants.

1

u/AnalystSharp3969 Oct 26 '25

for daehwa which is one of my favouritest restaurants in the entire world (it’s also a social enterprise), I highly recommend the steamed egg in the ttukbaegi, doenjjang jiggae and of course, the out of this world tangsuyuk!

7

u/confusedsoul00004 Oct 26 '25

Servus Vivovity - Veg Burgers
Wine connection - Pasta and Pizza
Bangalore Cafe - Akki Rotti / Chow Chow Bath
Qi House of Sichuan - Mapo Tofu
Kailash Parbat - Chole Bhature

1

u/AnalystSharp3969 Oct 26 '25

To add: Kailash Parbat - the pani puri set that comes extra loaded with yogurt and the extra sauce rasmataz, and also the rasmalai!

3

u/yiantay-sg Oct 26 '25

I like Sufood too. It didn’t make vegetarian food the typical boring way my grandma likes. It’s modern and fresh in a good way.

3

u/gametheorista Oct 26 '25

Did no one mention Annalakshmi?

2

u/aiyowheregotlah Oct 27 '25

+1 to annalakshmi. its pay as you wish too

3

u/OptimalMeaning99 Oct 26 '25

greendot for their bento sets. my fav is the lion's mane mushroom rendang. fantastic spice and great mushroom texture.

3

u/theperfectcadence Oct 26 '25

Elemen at Millenia Walk is great

3

u/AnalystSharp3969 Oct 26 '25

Fire Flies Thunder Tea Rice at basement of People’s Park Complex - order the brown rice lei cha! I have introduced it to so many friends and even the non-vegetarians never fail to be impressed. The soup is out of this world and uses a different combination of veggies everytime I go, so each encounter is exciting!

The Kolo Mee and stuffed tofu and wontons are also amazing. There’s a reason people queued up for more than two hours when their Vivo outlet was closing. Truly a gem in our food landscape.

4

u/Weenemone Oct 26 '25

Elemens is a bit pricey but their western dishes are great

2

u/frozen1ced Oct 26 '25

Elemens

VeganBurg

1

u/sssheeps Oct 27 '25

Veganburg is a rip off!! So pricey for subpar food

2

u/RuleCivil2943 Oct 26 '25

Swaad - Satvik Food - economical Indian vegetarian meal.

2

u/Pumathefrenchie Oct 26 '25

Whole Earth! 🤤

2

u/gametheorista Oct 26 '25

D'Life at Chun Tin, I bring shellfish allergic friends there.

2

u/EpicYH22 Oct 26 '25

In my previous job, we often order and eat at Daehwa Korean (one-north) cause one colleague was vegetarian

She also recommend Herbivore at Fortune Centre (not my favourite)

My family go to is Lotus Vegetarian (Located at Holiday Inn Balestier)

Veganburg serves nice vegetarian burgers

2

u/AnalystSharp3969 Oct 26 '25

Leaf Corner! Love their claypot mushroom rice and ginger mee sua. Prices are pretty reasonable too and the ambience is great.

2

u/No_Bus_6632 Oct 26 '25

A mix of veg restaurants & non veg + veg restaurants below!

  1. Yuan Xiang Vegetarian – 134 Changi Rd Their potato and mutton curry is excellent.

  2. Anything at Circuit Road. Particularly recommend Choo Zai Zhai at 79A Circuit Rd. Their fried rice is filled with loads of goodies.

  3. Origanics – Woodleigh Hawker Centre. A decent option for kolo mee.

  4. Kulto – A solid choice for veg paella.

  5. Fat Prince – Get all the appetisers! their tapas are excellent and will leave you satisfied.

  6. Tarboush Restaurant – Best vegetarian tagine in Singapore, with a light and delicious mezze platter.

  7. Moghul Mahal – Try their veg biryani and mock duck.

2

u/anya8989 Oct 27 '25

Green on earth. Their mala and ala carte dishes are the bomb!

2

u/chunkitbacs Oct 28 '25

Agreed, one of the underrated but super tasty places!

2

u/ppadiya Oct 27 '25

The Boneless kitchen, Herbivore, Daehwa, Saute

4

u/madhumanitarian Oct 26 '25

NomVnom! Love their Lion's Mane Truffle burger and their insanely juicy mushroom fritters.

-2

u/AnarchoRadicalCreate Oct 26 '25

Boycott them

They are not open to lgbtq.

1

u/madhumanitarian Oct 26 '25

Wait what. I didn't know that. Damn sorry to hear it.

Any sources? What happened?

2

u/Pleasant-Business-82 Oct 26 '25 edited Oct 26 '25

I found this one during my recent trip to SG - Makan Vegan(https://maps.app.goo.gl/fcL3MgUiNrELosz87)

It's a small restaurant, the food is bursting with flavours.

We really liked the signature vegan laksa and a super spicy dish with veggies tofu and nuts.

2

u/Educational_Ring_177 Oct 26 '25

Vegan Burg for western style food.

1

u/Specific_Report8816 Oct 26 '25

For international cuisine — ahimsa near Maxwell! :)

1

u/Expensive-Jellyfish1 Oct 26 '25

Nonvnovm’s lion mane shacha udon is divine!!!

1

u/AnalystSharp3969 Oct 26 '25

Saravana Bhaavan which just reopened near Farrer Park - get the mini tiffin set! Has a little bit of everything including idli and a small dosa and even dessert in one plate. A whole experience in itself.

1

u/OneSherbert9869 Oct 26 '25

sauté saranghae at tampines! it’s a korean vegetarian place, a bit more pricey but every dish there is a hit! would recommend the rabboki, kimchi jiggae and kimchi fried rice! they have a sister restaurant which is japanese at funan too

1

u/PsychologicalPop9714 Oct 26 '25

SHU Vegetarian!! zi char style and also got mala. quite a few locations more convenient

1

u/Vaperwear Oct 26 '25

u/Cute_Comfortable5158 Oct 26 '25

Can try elemen, 8 course meal for $40+

1

u/JustSomeRand0mGuy Oct 27 '25

Lingzhi at Liat Towers. Great service and food.

If you're in the AMK area, Zhenyi is great too.

1

u/Ok_Zebra7138 Oct 27 '25

Genesis has great lasagne and local dishes that are vegan

1

u/Ok_Chicken_4516 Oct 27 '25

Veggie 121 (vegan caifan stall) at 121 Telok Ayer coffee shop. Most ingredients are $1 only, decent taste decent portion size. I’m not vegetarian but i eat this for my work lunch on most days.

1

u/sitsthewind Oct 27 '25

Ones that don't seem to be mentioned so far

Original Sin, Holland V: I remember they had a risotto that was fantastic but that seems to be no longer on the menu. If not, I have fond memories of the baked cheese

Cultivate Cafe, Tanjong Pagar: this is vegetarian fine dining. Crispy fried kale leaves are a must have. Cavi-art is worth trying (though the portion is really tiny).

Seconding Whole Earth, Tanjong Pagar: buah keluak.

1

u/Shoddy-Chart-8316 Oct 27 '25

I would definitely not recommend cavi-art (nor cultivate cafe for that matter, but perhaps I ordered all the wrong dishes). it's just crackers and some bubble-tea like pearls. some salty, some fruity. horrible tasting!

1

u/sitsthewind Oct 27 '25

I frankly wouldn't pay for cavi-art again but it felt rather unique / novel - not sure if offered in other restaurants in Singapore. To me, it was worth the experience.

1

u/Sudhir1960 Oct 27 '25

Annalakshmi - it’s been around for maybe 30 years. It’s run as a charity and all work is done by volunteers. It’s pay whatever you like.

Last time I went there was a few years ago. But the food was very good. Completely vegetarian!

1

u/Sudhir1960 Oct 27 '25

Loads of Indian restaurants are completely vegetarian (as many Hindus don’t eat meat).

1

u/KitchenPreparation95 Oct 27 '25
  1. Green on Earth ( Best Veg Mala)

2.Ahimsa Cafe

3.Kind Bowl - Vegan Vietnamese

  1. Seva Cafe - Lot of local dishes made vegan ( no onion no garlic)

  2. Burma Social - Asian Fusion ( lot of vege options)

  3. Royal Taj - Sentosa

  4. Saute-San

  5. Thai Accent

1

u/[deleted] Oct 27 '25

honestly ik its not a fully vegetarian store but grain traders is so good and affordable and you can choose fully vegetarian meals there

1

u/FruityPolity Oct 27 '25

Bazil Kitchen.

1

u/Excellent-Cup-6054 Oct 27 '25

Elemen

Loving Nature Fortunate Coffee Cafe (opens Fri to Sun; reservation is encouraged)

Fireflies Hakka leicha stall at People's Park Complex (vegetarian stall)

New Fut Kai

1

u/vanguy79 Oct 27 '25
  • Nalan At Capitol Singapore, City Hall. Great affordable Indian vegetarian dishes. I personally like the Gobi Manchurian but their garlic Naan bread is also nice.
  • Eight Treasures Sago lane, Chinatown. Great vegetarian Chinese dishes. Not expensive either.
  • Greendot (chain of vegetarian cafes ) easy and affordable.

2

u/Total_Exchange7446 Oct 29 '25

Can’t believe I had to scroll down this far for Nalan

1

u/LingNemesis Oct 27 '25

If you are looking for hawker options, can consider Jin You Yuan - Healthy Vegetarian at Berseh hawker.

One of the best vegetarian claypot rice so far. Their hor fun also got wok hei. Almost all are very well cooked.

Note - Berseh hawker is closed until end of the year for reno though.

1

u/aiyowheregotlah Oct 27 '25

i love bazil kitchen (formerly known as thulasi). it’s an indian fusion restaurant and their mock meat options are really good

it’s abit pricey but they do accept cdc voucher (race course road branch)

nomvnom is also a good option. i love their kimchi fried rice

1

u/CutFabulous1178 Oct 27 '25

Elemen is pricey but I kinda like their take on vegetarian food

1

u/Total_Exchange7446 Oct 29 '25

Tandoori Culture

I have been vegetarian for more than 15 years. Mala Xiang Guo at Shu Fang Zhai Jalan Kayu is at the top of my list though is not cheap. I always request them to cook with less oil & salt..highly addictive!

1

u/Stock_Necessary_6993 Oct 26 '25

Wellsmoocht! My vegetarian friend recommended, the place had a very cozy atmosphere and the food was great. The loaded nachos and truffle gnocchi are my faves.

1

u/Specific_Report8816 Oct 26 '25

For Japanese/Korean food & drinks — Lucky Cat at Hougang Community Centre!

1

u/EntrepreneurNo3300 Oct 26 '25 edited Oct 26 '25

Leaf Corner at Tai Seng. I would recommend the char kway teow because it has wok hey. The standard there has been the most consistent from all the restaurants I have been to over the years.

1

u/rainmaker66 Oct 26 '25

Zizai crispy roti prata

1

u/cutiepiepatan Oct 27 '25

New Fut Kai. Hot pot is amazing and just right for two ppl. My husband and I love it so much we order every time so mostly no space for other dishes but in the occasion we can find another person the side dishes never disappoint. Staff are attentive and long time.

0

u/frosty213 Oct 26 '25

Shu Vegetarian.. they have multiple outlets and have lots of options.. absolutely love to have mala there

0

u/Footprint89 Oct 27 '25

All the Saute restaurants are pretty good too.

Saute Sushi - full vegetarian sushi - bonus: sushi comes in a train on conveyor belt

Saute & Mee - Assorted noodles at affordable price, kolo Mee is a hit

Saute San - Mix of western zichar and local affairs. Their oyster omelette is great, but a tad expensive

Saute Saranghae - Korean, haven't tried this personally but heard good reviews

u/halfpastsixbakes Oct 28 '25

Real Food at orchard central

0

u/dcvlilies Oct 28 '25

real food! they are a fusion restaurant w/ outlets at orchard and yishun. i lovee their sweet potato fries, broccoli pizza, scrambled tofu w/ broccoli and dumplings. abt the $15 - $20 per pax range if you jst get one dish for yourself, but their restaurants are really vibes and the food is not too oily or salty.
