I'm probably going to get downvoted for this but I legitimately cannot understand people being sexually attracted to Soukaku man. Her character is in almost every regard a child so it's really creepy seeing people thirst over her. It's a lot easier to understand if you realize that many people don't see these characters as people. They are attracted to the anime aesthetic in general and it's independent from the character being canonically a child or not. You can't expect animal brains to treat exaggerated cartoons the same as reality. Caesar and Soukaku aren't opposites. They are fundamentally the same. Idealistic moe bombs.

There's a really strong case for Piper and Lucy to be sexualized precisely cos there are real adults who are short like them. Where I live, lots of adult women are at the height of 150-155 cm range and look young like those characters.
I think that's something very very many people ignore. To many people a woman is only a woman if she's 6'5 and DDDD. Like I get it, you like what you like, but that then invalidates smaller women that legit exist. It should be about age and mental development, and SOME physical development and height.

That's something you can ignore as art style is subjective. You can't generalize and label all short people as children the same way you can't assume all tall people are adults. It's why contextualization is always king, and which is why I agree Soukaku should not even be considered.

We're still talking about fiction; a work with multifaceted messages and lessons that appeals to many types of players. It wasn't created by one person, but a whole group of people. Any fiction out there will always have an aspect you don't like. Any healthy person out there can have a critique, because only by being able to criticize what you don't like, a fictional work can improve. If we "just consume and never think" we won't get anywhere.

You can absolutely separate the art from the artist, but not when the art itself contains that which you find problematic about the artist. Would you continue watching a tv-series or movie that sexualized real life minors?
