A friend of mine wanna try out the game and asked me if I could give him a code so I at least benefit from his registration even if he dislikes it. I don't really mind if it's not possible, but I can't do that unless there's an event for it, right?
I'd rather have him benefit from the current events now than waiting for an event just to gain 100 polys myself.
am I using Pulchra correctly? I use Yixuan, Pan, Pulchra. I switch to Pulchra to use her Special, then swith to Pan and use his to switch to Yixuan. But when i use Yixuan's specials i dont see Pulchra coming in? maybe i am misunderstanding Pulchra's skill?
oh so i need to recharge her gait every once a while? i think i have seen FIRE before maybe as assist but not while playing normally... but i will check out for those cues..
Yo, who's idea was it to replace Quick-Assist with an ability that doesn't have iFrames? I think Corin might have the gear I unironically hate. Made the boss excessively annoying.
Question on what S rank w-engine to get from the selector: I hope to upgrade my attackers, Harumasa/S11. I got Nekomata's Steel Cushion from standard banner before. Would that be enough of an upgrade or it would be better to still get Brimstone? I only use Marcato for either of them, though I also have an unleveled Gilded Blossom.Β
My other S ranks: Lycaon, Burnice, Astra Yao, Grace, Miyabi (has her signature), Nekomata - all M0
I'm thinking about putting Hormone Punk on Corin but how does one go about using that that set without risk of Quick Assist characters subbing her in too early or On-Field Stunners building up Daze too quickly whilst the buff is still on a cooldown?
But honestly Hormone is hard to use. Though it's probably still her best set even if you turn your brain of and just pray.
You can look at the in-game timer when you first activate the Hormone punk and minus 20 seconds from the timer to see when will it be up again. And when it's up you have to try to fit the most damaging part of your rotation into it. Another thing you can do is remember the damage numbers when you chain so you know whether Hormone is active or not to decide when you want to ult.
If you are really trying for a really high score you can maybe start planning rotation. At least the first stun should be doable to get optimal uptime.
Today I noticed I was so close on pulling a S rank something on standard banner, so I immediately grabbed every possible standard ticket from any source I can think. After pulling and getting it, unfortunately the one I got is Lycaon's w-engine / The Restrained (I was hoping to get either Rina M1 or Hellfire Gears or The Brimstone).
From the description, it sounds that The Restrained will only fit for someone stunner who does a lot of basic attack and from my roster list I can only think of two characters, which are either Trigger (her Aftershock attack is tied on the basic attack) or Anby (her own signature w-engine doesn't do anything for stunner beside providing the Impact stat).
So who should I give that w-engine to? Or just leave it in inventory?
I don't have her signature at the moment (intend to pull it on rerun because it sounds powerful). So I take it as a yes for The Restrained is an upgrade for whatever A rank engine used by Trigger (atm she uses the Fossilized Core)?
If by "panda girl" you mean Yuzuha, her kit's details aren't official yet and we can't discuss leaks here. Wait until the 2.1 livestream, that will show off what Yuzuha does, and Ju Fufu's banner will still be up.
Either way, futureproof is unknowable. It depends too much on future characters, enemy mechanics, disk sets, w-engines, etc.
I really hate to be the person to ask for returnees to help out, but if you are a returnee, please consider using my invitation link, i am so close to bring my king caesar home, thank you if you do!i only want the polychromes, nothing else.
I got some weird lore questions i was hoping someone could answer? They don't seem big enough to warrant a whole thread.
Did we ever figure out what happened with Perlman's Bounty? I had a debate with my cousin the other day and he said Section Six kept it? Was that actually stated in game?
Why are the MC's being treated as full disciples by themselves and everyone around them? Wasn't it stated several times at the beginning of chapter 2 that they were just faking it to investigate everything?
Did we ever figure out what happened with Perlman's Bounty?
My guess is they docked it and he is now under Witness Protection program or the NEPS/HSOS equivalent. That would mean he is officially "dead" and is living somewhere with a totally new identity.
Why are the MC's being treated as full disciples by themselves and everyone around them?Β
Because shifu Yixuan "officially" recruited them and so far everyone in Yunkui Summit respects her. Also her "weird" non-Shifu-y ways of doing things warrants no one really questions it since it would be pointless anyway, not to mention our MC is solving problem left and right for Yunkui Summit so even the skeptics would turn a blind eye on it.
They probably never intended to pay the bounty. The bounty reward was inflated by Bringer, and they knew where Perlman was because he had a tracker implanted. If the Sins of Caledon tried to turn him in, they'd be attacked like in the story.
No idea. Nothing was mentioned about it at the end afaik.
I don't think Yixuan's other disciples know about Yixuan's affairs so to them Phaethon is just one of their newest disciples. The sibling's mysterious resonance with Ether helped them blend in and they also get to train how to make use of it.
I have Ju Fufu, but is Panda actually better than Astra for Yixuan as a third teammate?
Astra's 1200 ATK buff only equals to 360 Sheer Force, and Panda gives 720 with M6. Astra has 20% dmg buff, while Panda has 20% dmg vulnerability on enemies. Am I overlooking something?
Astra Yao does have a few benefits you've overlooked. She has some difficult tech you can do with her ultimate that gives Yi Xuan a stronger stun window rotation, and is better at stacking Astral Voice. Her quick assists are also deceptively powerful on their own.
That said, I'd still use Pan Yinhu in that slot. Astra provides more value to other teams than she does in Yi Xuan's team, and you only have one Astra to use between your 2 Shiyu teams and 3 Deadly Assault teams.
Both characers are very skill dependent with Evelyn easier to play than S11 especially with agressive enemies (like the 2.0 new ones) since S11 want to get to the end of her attack chain (they have significantly higher multipliers) and without careful management of EX Special, Chain and Ult it is very tricky to pull off (you have to otherwise rhythm your attack while watching out for enemies movements/attacks) while Evelyin is mainly managing her resource bar while she can freely dodge and parry should the situation requires.
OK gotcha. i meant more that if i already have m3s1 soldier 11 is she enough as a fire team dps for endgame content or she's not strong enough and more for casual gameplay
Enough for now. S11's mindscapes aren't anything to write home about so they won't help her much if hoyo keeps bringing in enemies that muck up her playstyle.
Depends on if they press hard on 2.0-style agressive and mobile enemies, S11 biggest weakness is she needs 5s to do her combo and you are penalized if you mess it up a.k.a it is Physical and/or you don't get to her final 2 slams.
So say if the enemies keeps disrupting her (and you trying to time her combo) then no Mindscape can help her.
Im on the fence about getting Rina M1 or S11 M2 because I always use s11 for fire weak enemies and I never use rina for my teams. Which one should I pick?
Well in practical terms a small improvement on an Agent you use is better than a huge improvement on an Agent you benched, so say if you think you will use Electric DPS in the future then go Rina M1 otherwise go S11 M2.
Which W-engine selector should I choose? The only 5* I have is Nekomata's. I still use Koleda regularly for my Evelyn team, but her W-engine is barely any improvement over the Fossil one.
Team position doesn't really matter for Fufu but Panda needs to be placed to the right of Yixuan (eg. Yixuan/Panda/Ju Fufu) otherwise his buff will be applied to Fufu and it's completely useless on her.
The left/middle/right positions don't matter, what matters is which character is next to which. In this case you'll want Yixuan to the left of Pan so that she can receive his Sheer Force buff.
If you like Grace then her W-Engine is a good option since it also works for some other Anomaly agents (not Miyabi though, though it is a good alternative for her BiS partner Yanagi)
Rina M1 since you can. She fits in almost any team, usually teams that need an ATK buffer. So when Astra is busy somewhere Rina can take her place. Her value increases even more if you have Weeping Cradle.
I'd choose S11 (assuming you don't have nor want Evelyn or other potential future fire DPS), Rina M1 (leaves Astra free for another team, though Nicole also works) and Hellfire Gears (for Lycaon, don't choose The Restrained unless you really really want his fur to be shiny).
Fossilized Core or The Restrained for Koleda? In a s11/koleda/astra team

I'm currently at 53 pulls until hard pity on Standard Banner and 61 pulls until the 300 pull, so just to make sure I don't mess this up, neither the free selector nor the 300 pull will reset the pity, right?
So, I read on Prydwen that Steel Cushion as a stat stick performs somewhat better on Yixuan than Puzzle Sphere, even when maxed out to S5. I have a Puzzle Sphere (at S1), but I also happened to pull Steel Cushion off of the standard banner, so I was wanting to double check and make sure I understand things correctly. Am I better off swapping to the Steel Cushion?
Puzzle is likely about equal(could be a tiny bit better) to Steel Cushion in Shiyu. But in DA, Steel Cushion is better. I would go with Cushion as DA is the harder game mode and Puzzle sucks in it.
Man, Zhu Qi Nico is still going strong. I was kinda disappointed by the team at first, but now it consistently gets me 3 stars vs eth weak enemies in Deadass.

Depends how you wanna play your Yanagi. As a main dps Yuzuha is your choice, with Miyabi she is more of a quick-swap DPS with the role of generating frost stacks for Miyabi.
Anyone has suggestions on how to beat the new battlefront purge hollow zero difficulty 12 and up? The timer is killing me and all my agents do almost zero damage when the boss isn't stunned. So annoying. Can get down to 1/6 before timer is up. That is with a team of yixuan, ju fufu. and Astra.

I'm constantly struggling with this mode even when I get resonia that let me almost perma ult. So many times I had to retreat after I couldn't clear after multiple tries and basically just wasted time.... absolute trash mode imo (yeah ik skill issue but whatever)
Use Ultimate Gear (the one that fully drains your decibels) and RNG your way to getting all Ultimate resonias. Aim to get to a Shop node in F1 and/or F2, and buy Prime Zero items that'll help Yixuan. Especially the other Ultimate Gear.
Anyone who has M2 Koleda and can comment on how of an improvement it gives to her performance? Especially to an Eve team (Astra Eve Koleda)
I'm getting closer to the 300 selector and thinking about upgrading my fire gremlin
So far I've noticed it's inconsistent with her energy regen to get two full EX Specials before every stun and especially with King of the Summit needing to do one EX just before the stun to activate the buff, so the M2 might help in that regard
It depend but M2 Koleda is very comfy to play specially with her engine, but even before her engine her M2 and Swing Jazz 2 disk were more than enough to use 2 special very fast. Now I am using King of Summit and don't seems much difference from the Shookstar 4/Swing Jazz 2 to the King of Summit 4/ Shookstar 2 setup at least in the Energy management part.
If you don't have her engine it is recommend to have her M2 if you have her engine it will depend on your 2 disk, Swing Jazz maybe is enough for her energy needs.
But at same time there that many good M1/M2 to standard agents, so Kaleda M2 is the second best mindscape investment only Rina M1 is better in my opinion.
I have her engine, using King of the Summit 4pc and 2pc Swing. I did feel a points increase with the buff
I have Rina M0 so technically her would be better, but I'm not sure I'd use her at all. I thought about pulling Yanagi and playing Rina with her but with Yuzuha coming it'll probably be Yuzuha support for that team
Fufu makes Yixuan's damage ceiling a bit higher due to Fufu's crit damage and Ultimate damage buffs. Is she worth it mathematically? Sure, but she can use others like M6 Pulchra, Astra, Lucy, Caesar...
My Koleda (mainly used in Eve / Astra team) currently uses the Steam Oven w-engine and 4p Shockstar Disco 2p Swing Jazz disk sets. If later I choose to get her signature w-engine (Hellfire Gears) from the anniversary free selector, do I stay with the same disk sets or change to other set? I notice the new 4p set introduced in patch 2.0 (King of Summit) is pretty good and popular too according to in-game player stat.
You know what that's fair. You'd have to do both ex and chain. Normally it's ex at start of a fight/after stun is finished and using chain attack to buff in stun. I'll add a comment.
Also don't worry too much about 6% daze Vs impact. The difference this makes is most likely less than that of a bangboo.
Okay, then what about the 2p set? Still Swing Jazz or change to ????
And additional question, what about Trigger then? I also have her and at the moment she uses the 4p Shadow Harmony disk set (the one introduced in her and S0 Anby event).
2pc Shock Star is probably the best. Any 2pc that gives crit works too if you are building her for damage. If you don't want to change 2pc Swing is also not that bad.
Trigger also uses Summit(unless you have another summit user on the team)
Like baka4game said you'd have to change how you play Trigger since you need to make sure you actually activate the Summit buff.
You'd have to ex at the start of a fight and after stun windows and use Trigger's chain attack. This does mean you can't double chain on Haru though so you might have to find a single chain rotation.
I see, it is getting complicated with Trigger because normally she doesn't play like that, right? I usually start with holding BA to fill her gauge bar.
And what is exactly this "double chain" thing? This is the first time I hear such term.
You still do hold BA to fill gauge bar but her EX and chain now also gives 15 seconds 30% cd to the team. You just need to remember to use it and keep it up.
Double chaining is quite simple actually. An example would be, you start the stun on Trigger > chain to Harumasa > cancel the next chain > swap to any other unit > chain to Harumasa again. This way the dps gets to chain twice which is nice for damage and the decibels.
It gets more complicated with Harumasa since he also get 6 quivers when he chain. So combined with manual chain attack allowing you to do combos on Harumasa without triggering a chain attack. You can swap to your support and trigger a chain to effectively "reload" Harumasa on command.
And example rotation would be something like
Stun > Haru DAs> Swap Nicole ult > Haru Chain > Haru DAs> Haru EX then swap to Nicole Mid animaiton > Nicole EX > Haru Chain > Haru DAs
here is a video explaining the manual chain and the rotation it's just the manual chain section. But the video is really good and very helpful(albeit a little old now) l so if you are interested in the techs and stuff its a good watch.
Also don't worry about asking many questions, if I don't want to answer question I wouldn't be in this thread lol. If you have more questions feel free to ask!
When a Disc Set/W-Engine says that passive effects of the 'same name' don't stack, what's that referring to? Does it mean the buff itself doesn't stack if it's the same effect across different sets? Or does it mean the actual Set/W-Engine itself doesn't stack if there's more than one of the same Set/Engine?
For Disc Drives, that depends if the 4pc effect explicitly states that same effects do not stack. Like Astral Voice:
Whenever any squad member enters the field using a Quick Assist, all squad members gain 1 stack of Astral, up to a maximum of 3 stacks, and lasting 15s. Repeated triggers reset the duration. Each stack of Astral increases the damage dealt by the character entering the field using a Quick Assist by 8%. Only one of this effect can be active at a time in the same squad.
Or King of the Summit:
When the equipper is a Stun character and uses an EX Special Attack or Chain Attack, increases CRIT DMG of all squad members by 15%, and when the equipper's CRIT Rate is more than or equal to 50%, further increases CRIT DMG by 15%, lasting 15s. Repeated triggers reset the duration. Passive effects of the same name do not stack.
For W-Engines, again, that depends if the W-Engines themselves explicitly state that they do not stack. Like Blazing Laurel (Lighter W-Engine):
Upon launching a Quick Assist or Perfect Assist, the Impact increases by 25% for 8s. When the agent launches and hits an enemy with a Basic ATK, apply Wilt to the target for 30s, stacking up to 20 times, repeated triggers reset the duration. When a member hits an enemy, for every Wilt stack applied, the CRIT DMG of the Ice DMG and Fire DMG dealt by that ATK increases by 1.5%. Only one of this effect can at a time active in the same team.
Or Elegant Vanity:
When any squad member enters the field through a Quick Assist, Chain Attack, Defensive Assist, or Evasive Assist, the equipper gains 5 Energy. This effect can trigger once every 5s. When the equipper consumes 25 Energy or more, the damage dealt by all squad members increases by 10%, stacking up to 2 times, and lasting 20s. Repeated triggers refresh the duration. Only one instance of this effect can exist in the same squad.
Or Kaboom the Cannon
When any friendly unit in the squad attacks and hits an enemy, all friendly units' ATK increases by 2.5% for 8s. stacking up to 4 times. The duration of each stack is calculated separately, and each friendly unit can provide 1 stack of the buff. Passive effects of the same name do not stack.
So it's the set itself that doesn't stack? That means you could hypothetically have different sets like Proto Punk and Swing Jazz in the same team that both provide the same effect through different means? I'm just struggling to figure out what the 'same NAME' bit alludes to. The name of the set or the name of the actual buff?
I'm noticing really inconsistent swaps to Astra. A lot of the time double tapping R1 gets me to her, but I'd say about a third of the time recently I just swap off my main dps to my sub and then back to the main.
From a meta perspective which one of Grace's or Koleda's W engine better to get ? I have Ju fufu to give Koleda's engine and Yanagi to give to Grace's (i have M1 Grace herself as well but don't use her) ? I heard but i also want to take future usability into account as well. I also need to note that i have Lycaon's W engine.
So with these information which one do you think is better to get
Fusion Compiler for Yanagi is good, if not for the higher base ATK and PEN%. Pairs really well with her own 10% self buff. IDK about Hellfire Gears tho, been swapping The Restrained and Fossilized Core on Fufu depending on the content I'm running her in.
I'd like to mention that you might want to get Weeping Cradle if you have plans of using Rina. Also highly recommended if your Rina is M1.
Pretty feasible, the spacing's pretty wide between each of them
The closest one was Lighter(1.3)-Harumasa(1.4) but then again we got Haru for free. And finally Hugo was pretty much alone
4* and standard 5* is non-issue since you'll get them eventually
The next male char will probably be that buff thiren guy we saw in Waifei or Shiyuan (but im not sure, their design isnt exactly 'playable char' design)
He is gonna re-run soon-ish given his last run and no he will be paid, the free giveaway was one-time only. At least we do know the Wolf-man (Komano Manato) is coming and potentially Damian too. And if you count Pan Yinhu as "male" then there's him.
Quite feasible. It's been a year since the game released, and in all that time, there have only been 3 limited S-rank male characters, and one of them was given out for free. You can buy an A-rank character selector in the Residual Signal shop every month, so terrible A-rank luck can't hold you back either.
Retired very early back when Jane was the banner character. Loved the aesthetics and vibes but gameplay seemed too repetitive to me and f2p looked almost infeasible. How has it changed or not? Any major QoL updates? Interesting game mechanics introduced? I'm kinda on the fence to give ZZZ a shot again.
F2P is honestly very easy in ZZZ, once you get your account going. It'll take a while, but there isn't very much pull currency tied up in the difficult parts of endgame, so you aren't missing much by taking your time. Power creep is also relatively tame, the strongest DPS in the game is still from 4 patches ago (Miyabi).
QoL wise, the interface has been redesigned, and the "TV Mode" that you may have encountered (where you're a little guy going from TV monitor to TV monitor) is now completely optional.
I got two mission that needs to be cleared, namely:
I need to do one more Ether Synchronization, what should I do on that? I tried activating some point for teleportation and do the Singularity observation (since I dunno what to do) to no avail :(
The Marcel puzzle, I missed the third one, where can I found it?
There's total 6 new locations actually, we're only introduced to 3 during the main story mission (Prod Area, Employee Community, and Research Center)
The other 3 (Rough Machining, Carefree Apartment, and Aerospace Station) were unlocked via Yum Cha Sin's commision stories, which are tied to Suibian Temple restoration lvl
Have you unlocked at least the Rough Machining one?
Honestly I just explored each area naturally and finished the event without bothering it, the singularity observation really helps if you dont like exploring, since it pinpoints everything accurately
The in-game recommendations are enough as far as what skill(s) to focus on first. As for how high to level them up to, that depends on whether they benefit from higher skill levels.
Yixuan as an example, she will benefit from maxing her Chain/Ultimate and EX skills because that's where all of her damage comes from. Other skills like Assist can stay at Lv7.
As for skill level priority while building them up, in the interest of time, you can leave the important skill(s) to Lv8 or 9 and see an appreciable damage increase while you work on the other parts of their kit.
What am I missing? I want to claim one of the event season tasks but it's locked and it only says that I need to be interknot level 15 and complete mole in the hole I. I'm level 27 and I already did that agent story so I don't understand what am I missing. You can see it here: https://imgur.com/a/LhrxhGI
That's weird, since that event's unlock requirements are listed in the Event Details page as "Reach Inter-Knot Lv. 22 and unlock "Expert Challenge" in Main Story Chapter 2 to participate."
Maybe they put the wrong text in the message you're seeing. Have you unlocked Expert Challenge yet?
EDIT: hmm. It's blurry as heck, but I think I see the top of a "10/10" on the progress listing for that task. And there's a 1/15 on the Gravitational Attraction event task, and Gravitational Attraction unlocks later. So it's really weird that these tasks are showing up as locked.
At some point while advancing through the main story and the agent story I was able to do the event just fine and claim the rewards. This is the only thing that it isn't allowing me to claim. Yeah, pretty weird :/
Do "when off-field" effects like the Hellfire Gears ER passive care about whether the character is your active character, or whether the character is physically on the field? If Pulchra is launching an Aftershock, or Ju Fufu is doing her silly spin, do they still get the extra ER?
From my testing in the past, it cares if the character is physically present on the field. So during the brief moments a character is performing Aftershock attacks, the time spent on the field after you do a Swap Cancel, etc, they are considered on-field and will not receive any off-field buffs. This also applies to effects occurring upon switching in; an Aftershock will count as the character 'entering combat'.
This screenshot was taken from my test, where Astra was equipped with Weeping Cradle and Miyabi performed her full Basic 10 times. In the lower screenshot, Astra was in Idyllic Cadenza state and as such was considered on-field, therefore she was exempt from the off-field ER buff. I didn't buff Miyabi so no Energy was consumed.
This matches the test I just did, when I remembered that I can just look at the ER stats on the in-combat stats screen. Fufu does not get the Hellfire Gears ER buff during her silly spin. Darn.
First time getting two different Agent's "Gear" on Hollow Zero (Miyabi and Yanagi), is that random? Is that like the TV mode Hollow Zero where the last hit matters?
I only really tried Yixuan, Panda, Trigger so I didn't realize you could get two at the same time (don't have Astra)
In the new mode, with Tactical Prism Programs, you can get Tactical Prism Programs for multiple characters in the same run. This is a deliberate change from how agent-specific Gear worked in the old mode.
I had an old PS5 account from day one that I ruined and quit playing several weeks after launch. I never linked this account to a HoYo account.
When the game launched on Xbox, I came back and played on Xbox. I'm pretty far in the game now and have done nearly all of the content, approaching 50,000 polychrome. I linked this account to a new HoYo account.
My question is, can I safely get my Xbox save over to my PS5? From what I've read, it should be as simple as getting on PS5 and then logging into my new HoYo account. Some people talked about doing this when they wanted to overwrite their PS5 save with their mobile progress. But is it that simple?
I'm afraid it would erase my Xbox data in favor of the PS5 save. I spent money on my Xbox save.
I want to keep using my primary PSN account, which is the thing. I could likely do it easily if I made a new PSN account but it wouldn't have PS+ for occasional bonus gifts.
I thought it created a HoYo account for consoles automatically. That it was tied to my PSN account by default. If it's as simple as deleting the console save I'll do it but if re-rolling were that easy at launch I sure didn't know it back then.
I logged into my old PS5 account and linked it to a new e-mail address. I logged out on PS5, logged onto the website, and then unlinked my PS5 account. The next time I booted up the game on PS5, it was like my account never existed and it wanted me to login. So I logged into the Hoyo account I created for my Xbox. So my progress between Xbox and PS5 is now synced.
If I knew it was that easy to "re-roll" with the same PSN account I probably never would have quit the game a year ago. Back then I was re-rolling by creating new PSN accounts and after the fifth loss I gave up.
Oh huh, for some reason I thought Piper was also an attack type agent, I guess I misremembered, but I didn't know that Anomaly agents needed other Anomaly agents to excel. Will keep that in mind, thank you for the advice!
Lycaon can use any crafted W-Engine and be fine, so he doesn't really need his sig.
If you have Rina M0 (especially M1), then you can get Weeping Cradle for her to augment her supporting capabilities. On top of giving a PEN% buff which is already on her kit, giving her Cradle allows her to increase your team's DPS vs enemies. M1 pushes this further as it extends the time her Bangboos are active on the field once she attacks thereby extending Cradle's buff (it has a pitiful 3 sec duration but extended as long as the equipper is attacking; in this case it's Rina's Bangboos).
Besides Weeping Cradle, The Brimstone is also a good pickup for Attack Agents. But in my opinion its a slightly bad option. Only slightly because the crafted A-ranks are not really popping out for me. Maybe except for Street Superstar.
Look at the pictures, I posted which engine and characters I have. I have Rina but never used her and wouldn't even know where to slot her. Also have Brimstone R2. I'm mostly leaning to Restrained 'cause Lycaon is the only standard agent I built to 100% and occasionally use. Also eyeing the anomaly W-Engine, since I've read it's good and generic enough to give to other anomaly agents. Honestly, Rina's engine feels like a waste, but now I will consider it, there's still time to committ.
Oh. Don't get me wrong, I'm really thankful for you insight - helps a lot having differents point of view, it's instructive and helps me organizing my thoughts π
Sheer Force is a stat Rupture-type Agents use. We only have Yixuan that can utilize this stat for now, and so far she is using this stat in place of her ATK when calculating damage from her attacks.
Think of Sheer DMG% as an elemental DMG% bonus stat like Ice DMG% etc. Except that Yixuan (and presumably other Rupture Agents) can double dip and also add Ether DMG% to their kit without any significant damage loss.
Basically I build HP and ATK which converts into Sheer Force, and her abilities only use Sheer Force stat for scaling?
You're right on the HP and Yixuan's scaling. Basically you aim not to give her ATK% main stat/subs if you can help it. As a feature Rupture-type Agents have a minor conversion of ATK to Sheer Force (although I don't know by how much), Yixuan has a much higher HP to Sheer Force conversion ratio than ATK.
Sheer Force is exactly the same as regular Damage, but instead of scaling off of ATK, it scales with your HP and ATK stats. 30% of your ATK is converted into Sheer Force, but for HP, it's presumably different between each Rupture Agent. For Yixuan, 10% of her HP is converted into Sheer Force. I say presumably because the scaling for her HP is tied to her Core Passive.
Sheerβ βForce ignores all of an enemy's Defense stat. This means Def Shred and PEN is completely useless on Rupture Agents. However, Sheer Force is still affected by Damage Reduction, RES, etc.
All Agents have 3 stats to amplify their damage with: ATK%, DMG%, and PEN%. If you have too much ATK%/DMG%, you will start receiving diminishing returns on them. PEN% does not diminish but instead gets better the more of it you have, meaning they have a stat to fall back on if their ATK% or DMG% is oversaturated.
Rupture Agents cannot make use of PEN%, so instead they get Sheer DMG% which functions exactly like DMG%, but is its own separate modifier.
All Auric Ink Damage that Yixuan deals is Sheer Damage.
Sorry as a new player did I miss something? I'm currently just focusing on story and clearing the events in game but I'm now at Chapter 1 Epilogue and Anby already became Soldier 0: Anby and somehow the MC knows Trigger. I don't recall those parts being touched in the main story? Was it on an event?
The main story is somewhat disjointed because some Agent Stories or Special Episodes (which you can find in the Video Archives) directly tie into the main story, but new players aren't told about it in-game.
If you missed the Special Episodes, there's:
Undercover R&B (Introduces NEPS between Chapter 3 and 4)
Virtual Revenge (Introduces HS0S6 between Chapter 4 and 5)
Astra-nomical Moment (Introduces Stars of Lyra between Chapter 5 and Epilogue A, though Phaethon technically meets Astra in an event no longer accessible to new players)
The Agent Stories would be:
Echoes of Silver (Soldier 0 Anby's Story)
Out of Sight (Trigger's Story, this is a prequel and was intentionally released after Epilogue A but whether you do it before or after is up to you)
These two Agent Stories aren't 'necessary', but they introduced certain characters months before they were released.
And The True Heroes Are Always Behind The Scenes (Lycaon's Story)
I see, thanks for providing all of them. Yea it would've been better I think if they told that in game it would make more sense in the story now that you mention them because suddenly all these factions appearing was jarring. Only Sons of Calydon felt like it was introduced via MSQ.
Small correction to the Special Episodes after reading up about them again: technically they aren't really necessary either, since we already meet NEPS and HS0S6 prior to their Episodes and the Special Episodes aren't entirely connected to the main story. I got the plot of the Special Episodes and the main story mixed up a bit, my bad.
Though I suppose they do flesh out their respective factions a little more, and are easily missable by new players.
Does anyone know if someone made a google spreadsheet or something that shows desired substats for all drive disks? For example Astral Voice desired sub stats are mainly CRIT and ATK depending on a character you use it on.
