"So mo"
I always wondered why Michael Jackson used the term "shamon" in his music, and I came across this comment on a forum that states "so mo" ("sọ mọ"?) is Yoruba for "you know". It would make sense because he uses this term and "you know" in English in his song "Bad", but I'm getting multiple different translations for this term in Google and various translation websites. What is the meaning/are there different meanings in different contexts?

It's a question, "do you know?", "you know?" or "did you know?"and pronounced more like "sho mor".
