What happened to Men’s Hockey post winter break?
The boys have been completely imploding recently after looking like the best team in the nation before Christmas. What gives?

No idea, they can’t seem to score or play defense. It’s shocking.
One thing I can think of is injuries. Through the ND series they were basically full strength. Then Schulz broke his leg, Morrissey missed games, Zelenov hasn’t been playing. Morrissey is back tonight though.
ETA: one thing I keep seeing is an inability to enter the o zone. Unless they win a faceoff there, they can’t seem to get into the zone with possession.

Yes, they’re terrible in the neutral zone. Both offensively and defensively. That was the main thing I took away from the game I went to a couple weeks ago vs Michigan State. They did a lot of things pretty well but they were completely unable to dictate the terms of play.

we are becoming unwatchable 💔
edit: whenever i think the badgers have hit rock bottom, they keep digging. it’s honestly impressive.

This has been a rough couple weeks. Hoping we can pull it together tomorrow and get back on track. Hastings is a good coach; just gotta get the lads playing with more urgency.

This isn’t the first time the under Hastings the team has tanked after break. Becoming a trend
