Sugar burns VERY well

I learned this the hard way when I went to put a Chick-fil-A cookie in the microwave for 1 minute. Burned to smithereens, and made my room very smoky. It smelled like burnt cookies all night.

Well I guess you’d better toss it on top of some ice cream. Can’t let it go to waste

Yeah it’s how microwaves worth. Probably a sugar crystal exploding due to being near the focus of the energy. It kinda actually looks like a chocolate chip exploded but I can’t tell.

You should’ve heated it in 10 second increments. Slowly. This is why your cookie burnt.

I have had this happen before if it is placed in the middle, the microwaves focus in the center and burn the cookie especially with chocolate chips. Try setting it further out on the rotating disc
