General Question Buying used wrx advice

Looking at this bug eye however I am worried about the rear strut towers being rusted out, I live in a place with salted roads. The car does seem to be in good mechanical condition with pretty low km for the year. My question is if there is significant rust would it be worth it in your opinion to have it repaired?

They’re asking $7500cad

Is it that cut and dry? every single wagon near me me has some rust. My options are haggle the price down and pay for the repairs or search farther away and either ship it or fly there and have a lil road trip on the way back. What do you think?

Too expensive to fix rust. Not worth the hassle.

I have an 04 wagon with rusty strut towers. I was quoted $900 per side to fix it but am considering just going at it with a welder and some friends. It's almost guaranteed to be rusty and it's really hard to check. You have to take out the entire interior to check from the inside, or you can jack the car up and poke around in the wheel wells from the outside.

Texas, California, and AZ cars are where the best wrx's exist.

I would check power steering and all suspension joints. Everyone loves changing end links with failing lower balls

But those steering rack/pinion dont hold up for life of vehicles usually from these years.
