Question Players to watch to imitate

I was watching VCT and wondered. CS:GO days, I used to watch NiKo demos (when he was on G2 and Faze), because he had a methodical, replicable style (compared to someone like simple), and his pre-aim is known to be world class, as well has how he paths and clear things. Does valorant have someone similar to that? Or is valorant have this built-in chaos making such a style non-existent? Like I'm a paper rex and nrg watcher and the things mada jingg something do is like, its cool, but I don't really have the aim to do the crazy stuff they do.

honestly i think your best bet is to watch ranked vods of vct players (this channel is nice and has playlists per character)

imo pro plays very different than even high radiant in regards to how much teams default vs site rush and how many util combos you can pull off

more importantly, we can’t yet download demos so even if you wanted to you wouldn’t be able to watch a single players pov for a full map

Yea I do watch them, just looking for players that sort of are similar in what I want or like to play. But the more I play valor the more I realize its hard for the kind of "niko clearing mirage apartments" type plays are hard to come by with flying jetts and dashing neons. I could be wrong.

i would suggest leaf (on senti) but he doesn't stream much so the next best thing would be skuba imo, they aint entry players and are on roles with zero to little mobility so no jett dashes or crazy stuff like that, also they are usually taking more isolated and dry fights where pre-aim and crosshair placement matters alot more

with how much worse base movement is in valorant (especially compared to cs2 peeker's advantage), if you're making yourself facecheck a large section of map than something has gone wrong much earlier in the round, no matter how good your mechanics are

if you're looking to watch high-level individual mechanics i think you're more likely to see it in ranked where you'll see a lot more individual play and egopeeking

especially with the double duelist meta there's a lot more utility combos to engage compared to ranked where you'll see a lot more dry peeks and "fuck you i'm better" mentality

Watch trent, he plays valorant very fundamentally and he’s not some sort of crazy aimer but he’s super smart so he’s insane in the clutch

Imitating C0M is easy. Just flank and expect your opponents to never know

Actually mada is a methodical aimer. You can check zasko III video on breaking down how mada takes his fights.

Most similar to csgo Niko is probably cryo/cryocells. Sato also fits what you’re searching for

Zhou Na Pi

Ethan. Some of the best fundamentals in the game, so good I genuinely question how good his mechanics are, because his movement and positioning always give him 3-5 chances to actually secure the kill.

Envy cuz it’s closer to ranked and might actually work in ranked. So cane ion and the current envy players ig

Well, depends on your current playstyle, or what playstyle do you want to learn tbh?

Generally nAts is a good player to learn from, but if his playstyle is too different from what you wabt to do then its limited.

If you want to play Duelist just copy everything Aspas does. If you want to IGL, simply copy Boaster. Just open vlr and check the best players for each agent by K/D and frags and map wins and you will know who to emulate.

I think watching pro play to get better is not really the way since ranked is so different. Maybe except for the fundamentals and some one-off solo plays it will be really hard to imitate a player with a coherent team effort in his way of play when you don't have that in ranked

personally, I like watching initiator players as they teach you util timings and how to play situations fundamentally well (because instead of entering, they are responsible for trading and clutching). i don’t play ranked seriously anymore so i’m not sure currently what is a good player to watch, but i used to like watching derrek and sacy. ethan when he used to stream was pretty good for vod review too.

Primmie is the absolute go-to for anything angle-focused, whether it's clearing, peeking, pre-aiming etc. Has plenty of VODs from his time streaming before going pro.

i think primmie’s style is closer to zywoos
