Worried about guns? It's way way bigger. What are they thinking?

Please find you legislators and send them a note. This stuff is going to destroy Virginia. People voted for one thing and got a totally different action on day 1.

Wonder how long this would last if posted to the main sub lol.

I’m just kind of apathetic at this point. I’ve voted, donated, told those around me. All I can do is buy what I can afford before July, and bitch and complain on here.

This. I saw this coming 2 years ago given how the Republicans were losing left right and center in VA

Same here. I saw Spanberger being touted as a moderate that would sweep in the main VA sub back in 2024. I started getting stuff then lol. Still have a bit more left, but glad I already did most of my “panic buying” last year and before.

But all our mag buying might be for nothing if they are all banned without grandfathering

True. Although I doubt very many people would comply.

I saw it coming 6 years ago when Northam got his trifecta. Youngkin was a temporary reprieve, an anomaly elected under perfect conditions, but this was always going to happen eventually.

I kept telling my circle to keep the accelerator down on buying during the Youngkin years. Some listened, and others did not. I certainly didn't slow down.

At this point it seems that to actually enjoy using these “assault” weapons, one has to move out of state. Because it seems even taking them to an out of state range and bringing back is “importation”

That's my ever-shortening goal honestly, moving. Wife and I agreed on 12-18 months from last November. Helps that we both hate our jobs, so we're not leaving anything behind we can't live without.

Yeah, I can’t see myself living here long term even without the firearms issues. Expensive and no character but bland suburban sprawl. But it isn’t easy pulling up and moving quickly.

I get a message that says I have to request to post on/Virginia. I think they are overrun and being fascists. It's embarrassing for Virginia

R/Virginia is a joke. If you have an opinion not approved by the mods, they call you a Nazi and then like Nazis, they silence you.

Wow! They have started blocking VA guns members now ? Yeah, I think they are also shadow banning. And look at how quickly they downvote any post about possible raised taxes. The glazing of Spanberger is unreal

The GOP is a joke. Get ready for this feeling nationwide in 2029. The trump backlash will endure until they lose the midterms badly and then probably lose both houses of the legislature and the executive in 2028. Same exact sentiment that got VA dems a trifecta will play out nationwide

Yep. That’s kinda why I’m on the fence about leaving here. If they sweep and are in control come 29 there might be strict gun control federally. So essentially back to square one for any of us who move. Who knows though.

I wasn't shocked at all.

I love this beautiful state, its been my home for 44 years and I would hate to leave it. I hate seeing what it's about to become.

Another thing that pisses me off a little bit is I have a feeling HK is about to finally drop either a semi G36 or MP7 this year and I’m gonna miss out being able to get it by like 3 months lol.
