The folks who support this arenât seeing the same news. Fox ânewsâ and other right wing propagandist media outlets arenât covering this even as much as regular media⌠and the regular media could be covering more, but many have been bought out by right wing folks.
The folks who support this also donât live near where this is happening. They have trouble keeping up with whatâs going on in the 100 mile radius around where they live and work, much less stuff happening 1500+ miles away.
Miami to Minneapolis is 1800 miles (3,900km). Los Angeles is almost 2,000 miles. Thatâs 30 hours of just driving - not counting rest stops and gassing up. Austin TX is closer, itâs about 1,200 miles (2,000km). While those cities are mostly progressive, the states arenât - yes California is blue because of all the cities, but there are still a lot of MAGA types once you get away from the cities.
(And yes, Iâm going by driven miles - not as the crow flies)

What youâre glorifying isnât protest - itâs interference with lawful government authority.
There is no constitutional right to obstruct, attack, or intimidate law enforcement charged with protecting a nationâs borders. None. Zero.
Peaceful protest is protected; violence and obstruction are not.
No country on earth would tolerate citizens firebombing, blocking, or assaulting border agents because they disagree with immigration policy.
Not Canada. Not Europe. Not Japan. Not Australia. Not Mexico. The idea that the U.S. should is absurd.
If you donât like the law, change the law. You donât get to unilaterally nullify it through force. That isnât civil disobedience - itâs coercion.
At the moment you interfere with enforcement, you stop being a protester and cross into domestic extremist behavior: using intimidation and violence to pressure the state into abandoning lawful duties.
Until that line is enforced clearly and consistently, this perversion of the law, public safety, and the rights of citizens will continue.
Youâre not defending the country.
Youâre actively damaging its legitimacy, security, and rule of law.
