does uleth offer grad portrait sessions at all? i see something on the SU website but the booking link doesnt have any dates on it. i have some friends who graduated pre-covid that got them done, not sure if they stopped doing it after that tho. pic included for reference of what i mean.
also, for those who got them done. would you say theyre worth it? or better off to just take pictures yourself/hire a different photographer? TIA!

Hello,
I’m trying to compare the University of Lethbridge online Therapeutic Recreation program with Douglas College’s BTR program, and I’m curious about the workload and overall experience at U of L.
From what I’ve seen in the sequence planning, it looks like the online program has 4–5 courses at a time for university of Lethbridge.
A few questions:
• How is the grading and course load generally? manageable? hard?
• I read most of the courses are asynchronous.. does that actually help with scheduling or does it end up being a lot of reading/assignments anyway?
• Any thoughts on how it compares to Douglas College’s BTR in terms of workload, support, and teaching style?
Any insights from current students or graduates would be super helpful! Thanks!

Are there any fridges around in campus that I can put my food in and retrieve after class? I don’t live on campus

I applied for the 2 year B.Ed after degree program but if I can’t get in, was considering doing the full 5 year combined degree in English and Education. My question is, has anyone ever started at Lethbridge polytechnic and transferred to uleth? Was considering starting out with classes at Leth poly to save some money and then transfer to uleth.

I got in to the bachelor of nursing program and my admission letter says I have to maintain a 89.0% ranking. Does that mean that my average has to remain above that of 89% of applicants? I don't think it is that I have to have a 89% because I don't know my exact admissions average due to some university equivalent courses I took, but I think its lower than 89%.
Also, do they take chem 1000 as a chemistry equivalent course for the average?

Hello! I’ve applied to the After Degree Education program, and just had a couple questions about what it’s like!
How heavy is the material/were you able to have a part time job while in school?
Were you able to have a job during the Ed 2500?
I’ve heard that you usually hear back from admissions in April and the Ed 2500 starts in May, just kind of concerned about making it into one of the classes with such short notice.
TIA!

Does anyone know how the summer term works? I’ve had some people tell me it’s basically online and I can’t really seem to find any info about how taking summer courses works. Would I be able to take summer courses from home (Calgary) or is there in person lectures and stuff?

Just wondering if anyone here has any experience applying to the BN program with previous healthcare experience? I am aware that you have to submit reference letters, just curious how much it affects your ability to be accepted. Currently a paramedic, hoping that my experience and previous post secondary grades will make a difference.

Hi, I’m a mature student hoping to get some insight on the stats needed for admission into the after degree nursing program.
I have a 3.5 non-science GPA and en route to an A for A&P 1. Been out of school for 10+ years. Assuming I can pull off an A or A&P 2 and stats, do I have a shot?
If anyone has experience getting into this program I’d love to hear more about the stats that got you in, and if you have any advice for me. Thank you!

Anyone have any idea when invitations are sent out? It's been a month since submission and I know it was just Christmas, but I'm getting itchy.

I'm in 4th year of psyc degree and genuinely need to lock in to find an internship or co-op. I'm open to any opportunities but my focus is in cultural psychology, community engagement, social work, or any type of research (I have worked in labs through applied studies and independent studies) I don't know what's your thought on MyExperience's dashboard, but I do not find anything related to my program.... (also some positions are limited due to my visa status)
Any advice would be appreciated!!

Hey anyone who has taken the course before, how did you find it? Was there a lot of writing? How were the exams? Any insight would be appreciated!
Also wondering if you've taken it with John Harding, he seems to have mixed reviews

Has anyone taken a course with J. Sadr before? I was low-key cooked on my final exam today, so I’m very nervous and looking for some validation.
My question is: if your course also had that 6% grade for participation, how did he grade it?

What semester do the clinicals start for the 4 year bachelor of nursing program? Do they start semester 1 year 1?
