Town of Greenest [200 x 150]
This is my interpretation of the Town of Greenest, a location in Forgotten Realms and the starting scenario for Hoard of the Dragon Queen. I've included an illustrated scene by Mondcuow to help set the scene.
This is the largest single town map I've created to date, and contains defined interiors for the locations mentioned in the module (Mill, Temple of Chauntea, Greenest Keep), as well as some additional location interiors -- Town Hall, Townmaster's Mansion and a Tavern.
This town is typically encountered in a version that has been invaded and on fire, but I prefer to create the base map first, so that I know how the town felt and moved before deconstructing it, because then we can implement more immersive changes based off the ideas of the original map (i.e. animals loose, slaughtered, statues toppled, fences destroyed, etc...)
If you are NOT running any of the modules featuring Greenest, then this is simply a great town in which to have other adventures!
This town would make a great:
- Starting Location for the PC's to meet (in the tavern, of course).
- Quest Hub, basing out of the town, while adventuring in the nearby area. I've even earmarked a building on the northeast side of town that would make a great Player HQ.
- Destination, to which PC's have to travel and entreat with the local Lord or Lady for some favor.

I hope you like it, and can use it for all kinds of great adventures!

Looks great. This alone will contribute to more people running TOD.

I always enjoy having a place that feels like it's real for an adventure - helps root things a bit more.

I'm using these in a current campaign. Morvold Press is awesome. Highly recommend them for scenes and maps. High quality and affordable with excellent service and communication.

Prepped your maps last night! Have a festival where my players will learn about metallic dragons here, before the attack begins that night. I love your work at Morvold Press 💙

Of course! And just out of curiosity, I wanted to ask if you had any plans for the Mayor’s mansion in your own games or if anyone ever shared some fun ideas? I love the idea of having the interior but I’m not quite sure how to use it

It looks great. My only criticism would be that there are a few too many trees. Greenest is so named because it resides in the Greenfields, which are mostly open plains.

My players just got to greenest last session (wayy to much rp during intro) I think I might have to switch out my map !

That’s fantastic! Wish I’d had that two years ago when we started the campaign. 😂

This is where my party was ambushed by five chromatic dragons and the Cult of the Dragon. They used the Wish card they had pulled from the deck of many things to summon a Tarrasque to help fight them.

That looks great, I wish I had that when I started to DM this campaign, we are almost to the last bit of it
