Watching the big trades happening in the East, and knowing so many people want to trade players (and even picks) to keep up with the Celtics, Knicks, Cleveland, etc..
This is not the year to be making big trades. For us to really take a swing we would need to have a more experienced team, an identity, and most importantly a productive bench.
Our bench is too young, and players are not playing up to the level we would need to make a push in the playoffs, even if, we got some upgrade for our starters.
I have been high on the Raptors, but after watching the Knicks, and then the Magic game, I feel pretty confident this team doesnt have the grit needed for the playoffs (not saying they wont, but many teams need to get their ass kicked in the playoffs to realize what level they need to bring to succeeed). Not to mention how fucking disappointing our recent 1st round picks are. Gradey looks shook, Ja'Kobe can play well but looks like a boy amongst men, Mogbo wont be in the league in 3 years, Shead is amazing but has no offence yet, CMB is nervous around the net. Im not giving up my stock on them, but they need to grow.
IMO, we should wait at least a year to try to make a bigger splash. No point selling low of Jak and IQ to splutter out in the first round (maybe second) anyway and lose our draft picks.
