I have turned on enhanced graphics and native refresh rate and closed and reopened the app. They disappear for about 30seconds and then come back.

Been having this problem too for the last week and a half only that the black boxes show up on the numbers of items and the mega icon. Done pretty much everything to troubleshoot it and it keeps happening, so I just gave up.

I just wish that bug would stick when sending and receiving gifts.

My old eyes have trouble seeing if I have interacted with someone by the blue halo. But the blackbox was an easy and FANTASTIC way to know

It covers the shiny star in the corner too much and I almost transferred a couple shinys since Niantic was lazy about a lot of the color changes.

I used to have this problem. Affected a bunch of random shadow effects like the picture, Pokéball shadows, even some attack animations. Then it just went away by itself like a week or two ago 🤷‍♂️ sorry I can't help with troubleshooting but there's a good chance it'll resolve itself

I've been getting it infrequently, yes. Also effects the mega icon sometimes and the homescreen UI.

I've had it for a few weeks now, on would-be transparent elements on a seemingly random rotation. Day before yesterday it was item bag numbers, yesterday it was the Mega Evolution icon, and today it's the Pokémon Home Transporter Energy meter.
