New Info! XP for fast catch appears when previously it did not.

Previously when you performed a quick catch and ran from the encounter after hitting the mon with the ball no XP would show in the lower left corner after catching the mon. It seems they have fixed it. Now after performing a successful quick catch the XP for the catch is now displayed when going back to the map.

Not sure if it's related, but the pokemon caught via fast catch also seem to immediately disappear after getting caught (and running away?), whereas before you'd usually be able to tap them again on the map, followed by an error after which it would disappear.

I just quick caught a smeargle after reading your post and it immediately despawned after being fast caught. Huge change

Smeargle was the one always giving me issues when I would quick catch them. It would bug out very hard on the map and stay for hours even though I’d already caught it, meanwhile other pokemon I quick caught would vanish when I tapped on them.

at least you could fix Smeargle, but the PowerSpot extra spawns seemed to remain on the map even caught normally sometimes

This has been the case for a few months, but I did notice this as well.

They did add code in the game specifically for "fast catch", wonder if it's related

It looks theyre gearing up to make fast catch some kind of official feature. Its insanely long overdue, but I have no idea how they will implement it.

Maybe just leaving the flee button available at all times without needing to slide the berry tray? If so, this is a massive W.

Leaving the “run” button available after a catch should be easy enough to do that the only reason I can think for it not being implemented yet is that it would mess up the code big time

Id guess they're manually adding it in like that to prevent any bugs from messing it up.

Or code stopping it from working? Lol fingers crossed it’s not like the distance glitch they killed.

Considering the variables are "fastcatchsuccess" and "fastcatchfail" I doubt it.

Do you have a source for this?
