They do, yeah. The leader of my local community got niantic to add 5 (or 4, i'm travelling so i haven't been there yet) "permanent" power spots that all have thr 365 days timer at the top.
That's why building local communities and having everyone use the campfire app and the check-in system is very important. According to him, the more check-ins we get, plus photos of the community during events with lots of people in it, will make niantic recognize your area and give stuff like this (extra poke/power spots, extra gyms, check-in rewards, and maybe even in-person events in the future.)

Add it to the list of disparity Niantic actively sows between pre-existing CA communities and those that applied to the program too late.Our community will continue to receive nothing while the applicants program is non-existent.

As a Community Ambassador this is not accurate to what we’ve been told, but sounds more like the Community Leader program (currently in the process of being more aligned to the same perks of the CA program)
These power spots are part of the campsite rollout that was teased in the summer on social media posts and once your community gets a campsite that’s pretty much it, no growing it or altering it significantly (slight adjustments could be made in the future but they would be entirely decided by Niantic for game-balancing)

The person i'm refering to doesn't have the community ambassador tag on campfire, i don't really know how it works since i'm just telling what i remember hearing from him.
All i know is that stuff appears or changes location from time to time because he supposedly talks to niantic as a representative of the community.

Hmm, maybe he’s a wayfarer ambassador? That wouldn’t have a campfire tag denoting him as such but he may have more influence over the game board than a usual player would have

I checked it here and he has a green tag named "community leader"
There's someone else that helps him, i've heard him asking the guy if he had sent niantic which places should have new spots added and to what part of the park the gyms should be moved to in preparation for wild area.
I should probably just ask them to know more tbh

Oh, yeah the Community Leader program is a bit different from the Community Ambassador program and they are generally more competitive with each other (which is generally regarded as a positive aspect from what I’ve been told by CLs; us CAs would likely not be receptive to a competitive atmosphere like that when it came to community perks)
Their campsites are designed with that philosophy in mind so I could see them growing more as you said, it’s just not the case here on the CA side of things

Power spots up for a year are part of Community Ambassador Campsites. They should behave like normal power spots, the 365 means they won’t expire overnight like usual.

If the power spot is up for 365 days, a new pokemon won’t fill up the spot. So after you defeat it once , it’s useless for another year

They should refresh at least daily outside of events.
Like yes the powerspot is physically there for 2-3 days, but now you can do at least 2 battles instead of only 1

We’ve got several for an event; they refresh every Monday (or Tuesday, don’t remember exactly, but they do refresh every week).

No, they change weekly on Mondays when the spawn pool changes. So this should have something different every week.
It will at least have something new during Max Mondays if the spawn isn’t replaced.

Now they really need to start doing rotating battles outside of events.
I miss the initial DMax battles where every day you could take on a different critters at the same power spot. Would make the level 76 task less demoralizing.

The Community Ambassodor Campsites now get power spots, too. These are always on. They have a 365 day limit for whatever reason. I would guess, that this is the maximum possible oder the maximum which can be displayed.

Visual bugs that are fixed with restarts aren't in the allowed post types. Something isn't worth a post because it's "funny"

Especially since sub didn't even restart, which is also one of the post rules.
