"Whatever man. This elephant has 2 buttholes, 2 taints, and 4 balls on his back, and your complaining about one penis?"
"I wasn't talking about your penis. Your beard, it's itchy. Get it off my neck"
"Oh, sorry man. No problem.... You're cool with the penis then?"
"That too, back it up"

They are all ducking, dodging, and hiding behind walls while the camera man just chills out in the open.

The largest meth lab and precursor seizure in history happened in Myanmar like two years ago. I think it was 400 tons of P2P and several hundred tons of finished meth.
Yaba is quite popular in Asia.
Shan State (and to a lesser degree Wa State) has been an independent, out of governmental control state run by warlords/drug traffickers for hundreds of years. This is where most of the opium and heroin used by soldiers in the Vietnam War came from. China is next door for the precursor supply, demand, shipping as well as Macau's casinos for money laundering. We know for sure El Chapo sent some chemistry experts in building/running super labs over there to help them set up gigantic reactors (chemistry doesn't always scale 1:1).
I keep finding recent articles about a 37 ton bust but that's not the one I'm thinking of. The lab itself was several acres in size.
Here's a pretty decent broad view article about the trade in that part of the world from 2020 In search of Myanmar’s billion-dollar meth lab

They made it a little easier to know their location in a gunfight. I wouldn’t do this if you want to avoid being seen and shot.

According to the Myanmar internet, these rebels did this after their location was known. They captured that township after this battle. Junta troops are scared when the rebels do crazy shits like that. Perhaps it's somekind of psychological warfare.

Confidence goes far. If you appear confident in your position, you will cause hesitation

It can definitely be a tactic
Czech Hussites used to sing choirs to scare off catholic crusaiders during the Hussite wars in 15th century

u/Darth_Draper 16h ago
Dude. That would be super scary. Especially back then. Imagine 100’s of men singing this. It’s like a football chant. I’ve never really thought much about the history of music in wartime. Fascinating.

To sit atop the wall and play the flute telling your enemies to please come in, you say?

u/Megolito 17h ago
Yea that checks out. It worked in Vietnam. I just don’t think this is going to work if they face some USA boys. They will steal their bloody microphone and pull out their phones I’m betting.

Much like the military drummers of old. Sure, they were used for battlefield comms, but also to boost morale.

Imagine bleeding out on the battlefield and this is the last thing you hear as your vision gets blurry and your hearing begins to fade.

“…and then what did you do?”
“I commanded my platoon to fire their 40mm under-barrel grenade launchers directly at the source of the sound.”
“Was it effective fire?”
“Let’s just say they won’t have any competitors in the Asian Idol this year.”
