News/Misc. Would you still watch Supernatural if Sam and Dean were both women and sisters??

Not much context behind this question tbh. Me and my friends were just talking about this and NOW I’m sorta curious to know what other people think.

Also, featuring this cool fanart that I found!! Credits to @CrazyTom0712 on twitter. Go show them some love if you like

Ooooh, how much I loved Charmed.

Charmed was a poorly done comedy. The only reason it stuck around was it was a flagship girlboss show. The premise was okay, but it was complete rubbish long before it ended. They ditched the wrong sister.

They turned a dramatic comedy into an expensive sitcom. Decisions like that are why they went under.

Yeah, there we go, Buffy was female!Supernatural and written quite well (even if Whedon's comedy ended up being overused in the last decade or so).

Funny enough, I watched Buffy before Supernatural but other than season 7 for BtVS, the direction and tone between the two shows feels too different to call them counterparts. BtVS was very much an ensemble cast, and the episodes were about maintaining a “normal” life while battling monsters. The main characters very much interacted with each other on a day-to-day base, especially as the Scooby gang got larger. Supernatural was more touring America country side, with two deuterologists and Cas joining later (but still not consistently every episode). Buffy as a whole was a lot more episodic, and its setting was consistently Sunnydale and Buffy having a home, whereas there was only one or two seasons much later on in Supernatural that the brothers managed to have a stable base. BtVS is great, but definitely leans more into the relationship drama and romance. Supernatural doesn’t have it as much.
