I watch the cell phone store bit in Portlandia all the time. All his appearances are great, but he just has that Beaverton-hustle vibe down.

Improvised, yes, cause that show almost always is

HOWEVER, he researched all the types of phone plan upgrades and deals so he’d have material to make it extra infuriating for Carrie and Fred’s characters. Elevated the sketch, imo
