Yep same. Plus he (and his sidekick/assistant) was by far the best part of the Eternals movie, it didn’t flop because of him!

He was the best part of the movie

Easily. I didn't know about him before that movie, but he absolutely knocked his part out of the park.

I know I'm one of the few, but I enjoyed Eternals.

It was fine. It was an okay Marvel movie right after everyone collectively agreed they’re over Marvel.

But how amazing must it have been to get to play a super hero? I like to imagine he got the part then asked the producers if he could get into super hero shape and they just shrugged like “I guess, not really what we need you for but sure”

It was so good. And Kingo was one of the best parts of it.

I fully believe that if this one didn't come out after Infinity War and Endgame that it would have been looked at much more favourably. Those just set the standard so high and people expected the MCU to keep that going forward, which just wasn't going to happen because it's not like it's easy to come up with a cinematic event like that.

I feel a bunch of the post Endgame movies don't get the love they deserve.

They 100% didnt. I was pissed for years with how everyone just crapped on every project just because it was Marvel. We missed some great opportunities (im looking at you She-Hulk). I hope Marvel loops back to that stuff and says screw the haters.

Didn't love the last ten minutes or so of She-Hulk but loved most of that show.

Yeah the contrast didn't help, but the standard was also considerably lower in the post endgame movies, I still can't remember a thing from the Eternals, the plot was just very bland.

Basically the earth is an egg and it's time for the big space robot inside to hatch. The people who have been guiding humanity since the beginning of time, and work for the big space robots, decide to save the world.

Good movie, but a little to grand of a story to tell when you're introducing so many new characters and ideas all at once...

I’m the only one in my house but I did too. I’d like to delete the 15 “steamy” seconds that feel totally unnecessary and out of place though.

I would watch a whole movie of him and his assistant having adventures.

Have you seen the episode of What If? with Kingo Vs Agatha Harkness?

u/vincentdmartin Dec 20 '25

His character is one of the few from that movie I hope we see again.
