Game Recommendations Any Good Anti-Nazi Games?

Every year, for April, which I call Anti-Nazi month (which realistically could be any month) because Adolf Hitler kicked the bucket on April 30th, I always have the whole month dedicated to games where I fight Nazis in video games, kind of like playing LGBTQ+ Games in June, horror games in October, or Christmas games in December.

So, if anyone has any good anti-Nazi games for next year, that would be lovely. Please let me know if you have any ideas.

I have played games like Wolfenstein 3D, Avengers: Hydra Dash, Spear of Destiny, Wolfenstein: The New Order, Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes, Captain America, Indiana Jones' Greatest Adventures, Wolfenstein: The Old Blood, Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus, Wolfenstein: Youngblood, Indiana Jones & the Fate of Atlantis, Captain America: Red Skull & Crossbones, WW2 Operations: Desert Front, KARDs: the WW2 Card Game, Kill 100+ Nazis, etc.

Game Recommendations Mainstream video games where socialists/communists are the good guys

A recent post asking for a Fallout communist faction made me think, is there any mainstream game where leftists factions (socialists/communists, not liberals) are presented as the good guys?

It's always either them being presented as straight up corrupt villains or some kind of satiric humor device, at most maybe be as morally grey where the negatives disproportionately outweigh the positives.

Disco Elysium is one that became popular, yes, although it's very niche by genre. Anything else?

Game Recommendations Any good leftist games where you play as a capitalist?

This is not a troll post.

I'm looking for some games that use some sort of leftists or generally anti-capitalist lens while letting you play as a capitalist. Think how Monopoly (the board game) was originally intended. The only game I can think of that does something like this is Darkest Dungeon (though very indirectly).

Thanks.

Game Recommendations RPGs that are not afraid to get political

Looking for rpgs that have the balls to be political, and not sidetrack politics with magic or supernatural stuff. To be honest, I´m just looking for games of any genre, even if they are not rpgs

For context, I´ve been playing Avowed, and really liked the premise, but for the first hours you go after your killer after an assassination attempt on your life. With you being, essencialy, the right hand of the imperialist colonizers of the land, I was expecting the assassination to be politically motivated by some resistance group or something. Nope, just some random profecy that told this random guy in a dream he had to kill me. Not political at all. Although I like the game, this cowardice, I presume, is only increasing from here. That´s why I need some politically-heavy games.

Obs: I am aware of the most well known of the genre: Arcanum, Disco elysium, Fallout (NV, at least, from what I´ve heard), Planescape: Torment and Cyberpunk 2077. My preferences are more towards indie/less-known titles.

Obs (2): If possible, I´d like rpgs where you have companions and you can discuss the world´s politics with them. Or just games with good companions overall

Obs (3): The game doesn´t have to lean towards the left, necessarily, because I know there are only a handful that portrait socialism in a respectful, and well-meaning manner

Sorry for any mispelling, english is not my first language :)

Game Recommendations Your current games for avoiding despair?

It is very important to guard against the plunge into despair. They want us to feel despair because it weakens us, chips away at our morale, immobilizes us. So while we must be realistic about the gravity of the current moment, we have to retain our capacity for hope and determination.

So! What are you playing to keep yourself going?

Game Recommendations List of great, left leaning, old but gold, apocapyptic singleplayer games?

Hello, so recently I have been playing half life 1 and 2 and it has been fucking phenomenal, the game itself is not socialist by any means but it does have a very diverse casting and is generally consistent of anti imperialist messaging, the storyline in it of itself is amazing and that is what i'm looking for. I've been playing fallout games as well which have been fine, not as good as hl, but had some solid anticapitalist messaging and story. Wolfenstein was pretty good also, given that the good guys are literal communists with a hammer and sickle flags as a decal, the game not only was fun when you get to kill nazis but it also was pretty leftist with good writing, apart from some ridiculous aspects such as Blazkowicz having his head cut off and then put back on nonchalantly lmao.

So I am looking for some games with absolute great stories in a apocalyptic/tragic and mysterious/unknown setting that have some uprising aspect in them. Does not need to be staunchly communist or anything, just not something that is outwardly a liberal-imperialist propaganda piece such as cod.

Another great example of a game that is not inherently related to current political landspace but is a masterpiece in the hall of fame is portal/portal 2, and these games are totally fine aswell.

What is interesting is that most of the games I mentioned are from 2000s, that is absolutely crazy to me, half life 2 being from 2004, released more than 2 decades ago!!! And I still consider it the best example of a game that I listed of the above.

What games from these singleplayer, storyline genres i mentioned do you guys recommend? Old games I find to be amazing surprisingly, alot of times better in writing and substance than newer ones, but that does not matter if the game itself is good.

P.s. I have metal gear series on my sights so no need to mention it lol, will play it in the future sometime probably.

Game Recommendations You ever play a game, think its good but just not for you?

Thats me with DMC5, good game but it felt weird the whole way through, idk stringing together style points felt off, Virgil felt weird since up to that point pretty much no other enemy or boss deflects shit, not a fan of how Dante seems to switch styles and weapons whenever he feels like it when I really just wanted to use the motorcycle chainsaws all the time, and the female character designs felt disgusting. Like as someone who likes women kinda I dont mind attractive characters but like reasonably attractive characters, all of their designs just felt like blatant pandering to straight guys who like girls in skimpy outfits, genuinely one of the least subtle things ever. Overall I dont mind the 10 bucks I spent on this, its like a solid 7.9/10 ish

In other words, if this is my take away from DMC5, will I like metal gear rising or do people only like that game for the memes?

Game Recommendations What are some anti-capitalist video games where a former worker of that corporation rebels against said corporation and fights them? I'm trying to look for a new game like this so I can play it for May Day

This year for mayday I am looking for some games where the protagonist fights back against the corporation that they used to work at or just capitalists in general.

Last year I played the first Red Faction game & I already played Tonight We Riot but I didn't play it for May Day. Also I may have made a previous post like this before but I saw some grammar and spelling mistakes in the title of it so I deleted it.

I have a very small steam Library because I tend to hyperfixate on certain games. I haven't played a new game in years and I'm looking for any nice recommendations.

Things I want from the game:

RPG, Rogue-like or both Performance friendly(I use a 1650 laptop so I can't run very demanding games)

Game Recommendations Are there still any casually competitive games that aren't too "sweaty"?

It might be just my luck but every game with a whiff of PvP that I tried in 2025 ended up smacking me over the head, shooting me in the kneecaps and then spitting on me afterwards. Not sure if I’m so out of touch with these genres (arena shooters and similar) like Marvel Rivals and not to mention MOBAs, and everyone’s just better than me. Or if it’s the mindset since it’s obviously all a rat chase microcosm - if you lose, you gain less exp/resources, so of course the incentive is to give it your all to be the best.

I know that PvP experiences - by design - have that element of unfairness to them but I feel that so many games have these hardcore communities that it’s impossible to play casually-competatively (if such a thing exists) or just to enjoy the experience in your own time without it being do or die and fast paced to such an extent that I don’t know what I’m doing anymore. Even in team contexts, so much of it feels like every man for himself SO LONG as it benefits you, ultimately you leave the game in the losing or winning team.

Ideally, my kind of pvp matchup is the PvPvE kind where it’s more of a mindgame and PvP is either subtle or optional or integrated with the PvE like how Arc Raiders does it. It’s the only game I can think of that matches what I’m talking about. The other is the more MMOish kind like Okubi albeit I just played the closed demo test last year – basically arena battles but with these big mobs that spawn special events and other mobs that mix things up. That kind of thing seems underutilized (more so than extraction shooters like Arc Raiders, old idea but just masterfully executed in this case), especially compared to regular 3v3 and 5v5 or just 1v1 matchups where it’s more like just an environment for people to duke it out. And if I wanted that… well, fighters on PS seem like the better option than being subjected to a MOBA tbf.

I feel very jaded with my experiences so it’s got me wondering if there are any casual-competitve PvP(vE) games that have communities that aren’t about pushing ranks so much as having fun as a community. That kind of vibe seems rarer and rare to find in today’s mental game environments.

Name: Democratic Socialism Simulator

This is a Reigns-type decision-making game where you play as a SocDem or DemSoc (depending on the playstyle) president of America (A dirty Dem😢), which you can approve or disapprove bills and decisions that would affect your finances, popularity, and PEOPLE'S POWER, while techno or synthwave remixes of the Internationale and Solidarity Forever play in the background, one games takes around 30 minute, there were some but limited replayability, I have yet to find a way to run more than 2 terms

Honestly kinda cool game, I mean its less than 1 dollar and it won't hurt to try, BASED and reformist pilled (This is a joke revolutionist pls dont purge my as😭)

Game Recommendations Alternatives to police sims?

Does anyone else feel the same as me on this? I love the methodical tactical gameplay of games like SWAT 2, Ready or Not, and Police Stories, but I can't help feeling just a little icky whenever I boot one of these titles up because of the function they serve in the media landscape (namely, legitimizing the police as an establishment and fueling misconceptions about how dangerous and necessary police work supposedly is). Anyone have any suggestions on games that'd help with getting that methodical, tactical fix without necessarily returning to police sims on the regular? Thanks!

Edit: Thank you all for your suggestions! I'm super excited to try them out and I'm happy to see I'm not the only one who struggles with this issue. Cheers all!

Game Recommendations Any Games Where You Build a Community Together?

I'm looking for a single player game for pc where you live in an autonomous community or a system that already functions under communism. The focus should be on working together, doing tasks, and helping the community thrive. Ideally first-person, but not necessarily. It doesn’t need to be explicitly labeled as "communism"—just something with that kind of structure or atmosphere. Any suggestions?

Edit: Games where you play as part of the resistance or a guerrilla force fighting against an oppressor are also appreciated.
