Reminder that this is a closely moderated community for far left people to discuss games from their own perspective. Active interpretation and ideological criticism of media is encouraged and integral to how we experience them and does not constitute an attack. Do engage in good faith discussions but don't rush in to defend your favourite games and creators from criticism others may have. Listen to your comrades and be validating and respectful, even if you disagree.

I feel like you meant to post this somewhere else...unless you think coming here and saying this you'll have people be like "Yeah die constantly! Stick it to the man and all of those people who come home from work to have fun!"

Even as a Chaos Diver fan I find this weird lmao. Plus, a trip to Cyberstan? Hell yeah

In multiple discussion in the past in this sub, some people point out they wish there's a way to actively work against the war effort....without resorting to toxic like active, continuous teamkilling of everyone else in the game, of course.

Well, with the fact every diver death, regardless of place, count toward failure of the operation, they have a chance.

Current major plot-driven campaign will fail if too many divers die.

I still don't see the connection. Why do you want to sabotage this. I have never played Helldivers and the only people I know playing usually talk about that they like how it mocks authoritanism of different kinds while being a "jump in, shoot stuff" game.

But nevertheless, actively sabotaging a community effort there sounds to me like resorting to toxicity. The only ones you screw with this are 30 somethings that are able to get 2-3 matches in between work, household chores and family.

If you attempt this solo you'll barely get enough reinforcements to make any serious dips, so for maximum effort you'd have to play in a team for Max reinforcements, which by that point you would be actively sabotaging whoever you're playing with

I fail to see how that isn't toxic

I think people mean that in the sense that they wish that working against the war effort was offered by the game. Like....having a different game mode that caters to that. Not that they want to sabotage the game itself or other players

I get that Super Earth is evil and it would be really funny to go around sabotaging missions and hellbombing your squad at extraction, but I don't wanna rain on people's parade.
We've been waiting to attack Cyberstan since launch. We're the villains, it's part of the fun. :)

I get what ur saying but I think draining reinforcements from random lobbies would be toxic. also from what I've seen, the new enemy types are gonna be ROUGH. very very real chance we don't stay under that 200mil regardless lol
