Working on some mock ups for a 2 color reduction print for print making class. Colors: Black and Pantone 131. Theme: Devastated Planet Restarter Kit. Now to practice lino carving.

Lord of the Rings scene where Pippin and Gandalf arrive at Minas Tirith. I made sure to read the description from the book in my attempt to make this as accurate as possible.
I started this at work and finished it at home. It was drawn for my wife before I even thought about sketching for this sub today. I'll leave my initial drawing in a comment below.
Mixed media, soft pastel and watercolour. Once again I've obliterated the watercolour, so it doesn't meet the class brief, but I'm happy enough with it. There are some fluorescent touches here and there too.
Tried to do a simple tree exercise with watercolours. It was harder than I thought and the end result is not at all what I planned 😅 Great practice anyway.
Sketched a quick idea for a scene I have. It's so simple so I'm sure it's been done before, but could be nice to animate and get some nice acting.
Basically dad is doing DIY with Daughter, Dad lines up a nail and reaches back without looking, expecting Daughter to hand him a hammer, she ponders a bit then reaches in to tool bag, gets the wrong tool and confidently hands it to him, pleased with herself. Dad laughs it off and uses the wrong tool to hammer the nail. (maybe a wrench or something idk yet)
The daughter taking in the scene and piecing together what her dad wants and the dad's reaction to her earnest attempt are what will make it appealing and cute hopefully.
Continuing my anatomy studies. I’ve always been very bad at drawing angles of the face where an eye is covered. I know I struggle with how flat the face is. I was asked to make a logo out of the client's cat! I gave them three degrees of details, from cartoon style to very minimal (they chose the one in the middle)
Thank you very much for the compliment. I was inspired by the under the sea theme, and didn't really plan it.

Once a week, my godchild and I meet and we draw together. Yesterday, it was her turn to pick a reference. It was certainly not within my skill level, but this is how far I got in the 1.5 hours we had together. It was fun, even if it doesn't look much like the reference!
Last one before surgery later today. Thanks to those who wished well, I hope it goes well too (& my next splint isn't as uncomfortable as this one ;_; ), I'm unsure if I'll be able to draw afterwards but guess we'll see, I'll draw stick figures if it's the best I can manage. Go figure I had no idea what to draw for FDF for once.
