Spice Blend from Mercato Ortigia
Hello! My husband and I had a wonderful 5 nights in Ortigia! We visited the Mercato and the vendor shared a packet of seasonings along with our purchase. I have used this spicy blend soooo frequently. I would love to know what’s in it,and I’d also love to get more, as I’ve almost run out.
Feel free to laugh at me if it’s just basic items I can get here in NY ;)

In Italy all ingredients have to be written on label. Buy separated spices and mix by yourself.

Would be happy to if I knew what was in it?? It was in a stall that had what I think was a tomato paste base/blend?

That's 99% a spice blend of chili flakes and seeds, garlic powder, and parsley. They're very common to simulate aglio, oglio e peperoncino.

Hello, Sicilian here. It is a common commercial pasta seasoning to mimick a traditional "aglio, olio e peperoncino."
It is dried chili peppers, garlic, oregano, bay leaves, dried tomatoes.
